The rules are simple: players pick one Premier League team to win each game week. Get it right and you stay in, get it wrong and you’re out – all while chasing the ultimate jackpot. But you can only pick each team once across the competition, so strategy is key as the season unfolds.

More than 30,000 players were eliminated last week as eleven teams failed to win across the board, including Tottenham, Arsenal, Manchester City, Aston Villa, Newcastle, Leeds, Brentford, Wolves, Forest, Burnley, and Fulham, in a dramatic weekend of results.
Nottingham Forest’s defeat to West Ham knocked out the most players last week, with 16,158 players (21.2%) backing a home win for Nuno Espirito Santo’s side. Meanwhile, more than 27,000 players were on the brink of elimination until Bruno Fernandes slotted home from the penalty spot in Manchester United late win against Burnley.
Tottenham have been a popular selection across the three gameweeks, however, 5,049 players (6.6%) were eliminated this week after their 1-0 defeat to Bournemouth. Spurs conceded in the opening moments of the game and Bournemouth were able to hold onto their lead for 85 minutes, which will go down as a painful home defeat for Thomas Frank’s side but nothing short of a miracle for the 33 players that selected the Cherries.
Just 45,263 from the initial pool of nearly 300,000 players remain in William Hill’s Final One Standing £500,000 jackpot heading into gameweek four after the international break.
Spokesperson for William Hill, Lee Phelps, said: “A dramatic late penalty from Bruno Fernandes proved to be the lifeline for more than 27,000 players in our Final One Standing competition this weekend.
“The same can’t be said for Nottingham Forest, whose defeat to West Ham did the real damage, knocking out over 16,000 entrants, the biggest single elimination of the round.
“With Tottenham, Arsenal and Manchester City also slipping up, more than 31,000 players fell in gameweek three. That leaves just over 45,000 still standing as the race for our £500,000 jackpot really starts to heat up.”
