World champions France host struggling Germany on Tuesday night at the Stade France in Paris. This League A, Group 1 UEFA Nations League clash sees top of the group Les Bleus contend with a Germany side with just the sole point.
France vs Germany: Odds and Predictions
The William Hill traders have priced up 2018 World Cup winners as the betting favourites for this match with their odds placed at 7/10. Their German counterparts meanwhile find themselves trading at an unlikely 15/4 for the win whilst a draw is betting at 29/10.
Our France vs Germany predictions are backing the trader’s odds and forecast a win for Les Bleus.
The two European sides played out a goalless draw back in September but during this international break things have taken a turn for the worse for Die Mannschaft.
Holland – who failed to reach the last two major tournaments – sunk the four-time World Champions for three goals on Saturday, condemning Joachim Low’s side to their fifth defeat in their last nine games and leaving them facing the prospect of relegation from the competition’s top tier.
Didier Deschamps’ men meanwhile have carried their World Cup form into the UEFA Nations League and are undefeated in their past 14 fixtures.
Kylian Mbappe scored twice to secure a 2-2 draw with Iceland but other than that, recent results have been rosy for Les Bleus. They beat Holland 2-1 back in September and held their next opponents to a stalemate. Before that? They beat Croatia to win the World Cup.
France vs Germany match tips: Best bet and goal-scorer
Our betting prediction is for both teams not to score when the sides meets at the Stade de France on Tuesday night.
Die Mannschaft have scored a measly eight goals in their past 10 games, struggling to find an equilibrium amongst their attacking line. In that very same period, France notched 18 goals in their past 10 games.
In fact, Germany have failed to score in four of the past six games with huge pressure beginning to mount on Low which is why we’re backing this bet in our France vs Germany predictions.
Goal-scorer tip: Kylian Mbappe to score 2 or more, trading at 6/1
Who else? The 19-year-old is the man of the moment after scoring four goals in the space of 13 minutes against Lyon before following that up with a brace off the bench against Iceland.
With 13 goals in his last 11 games for club and country, our betting projection is for Mbappe to do the business once again – especially against a side that appeared so frail and vulnerable defensively against the Netherlands.
At extremely enticing 6/1 odds, our France vs Germany predictions reckon this punt should be well worth your consideration.
