Read on to discover Robbie’s Free or 4 predictions for the weekend ahead.

Robbie Savage’s picks

First up for Robbie is the Premier League clash between Leeds v West Brom, and if previous results between these two are anything to go by, then this should be full of goals. A staggering six of the last eight meetings have witnessed four goals or more, including a 5-0 thrashing by Leeds last time out. What’s more, no team has conceded more goals than West Brom this season with 73, so we could be in for more of the same on Sunday.

Sav’s second pick of the week sees him stick with the Premier League, this time plumping for Liverpool v Crystal Palace. With the Reds pushing for a top-four spot and the Eagles eager to provide a fitting send-off for departing manager Roy Hodgson, both sides will be on the search for a few goals. This is another fixture that is used to a few goals too, with the last four matches between the two seeing a whopping 21 combined goals scored in them, including three or more per game and a 7-0 Reds victory last time out.

Robbie’s last Premier League pick of the season sees him go for Man City v Everton. No side has scored more goals in the division than City this term with 78, and the new Premier League champions will also be looking to score a few and build up confidence and momentum ahead of next week’s Champions League final against Chelsea. Three of the last four matches between the two teams have also seen three or four goals scored in them.

It’s off to Spain we go next, and La Liga specifically, where Sav has selected a fixture that looks a decent bet for a few goals: Eibar v Barcelona. Barca may have blown their hopes of landing the title, but no team has scored more than their 84 goals in the division this season, while Lionel Messi’s 30 league goals are also unmatched. When you add into the equation that Eibar sit bottom, while four out of the last five meetings between these two have seen three or more goals scored, it suggests we may be in for a goal-fest.

Staying in La Liga, Robbie has gone for another game which looks like there could be a few goals racked up in it in Real Madrid v Villarreal. Real are fighting it out with rivals Atletico Madrid for the title this weekend, while Villarreal are looking to secure a European spot, so both sides will be more than up for it. And this is another fixture that is used to witnessing a few goals, with fans being treated to three or more goals in five out of the last six matches between the two clubs.

And last but not least, Robbie has chosen Brest v PSG in Ligue 1 for his final selection of the week. These two sides have met twice already this season, with PSG running out 3-0 winners on both occasions, so Sav will be hoping for more of the same this weekend. Brest have conceded some 64 goals already this term, so PSG, who boast Ligue 1’s best attack with 84 goals, should be able to create plenty. Mauricio Pochettino’s side are hunting down Lille for the title in the final game of the season, meaning a big victory here will be demanded from the PSG boss.
