Harry Kane Heads Ballon d’Or Betting Ahead Of England World Cup Bid
Harry Kane is now the outright favourite with William Hill to win this year’s Ballon d’Or.
The England striker was already joint-favourite at the top of the betting with Barcelona winger Lamine Yamal at 3/1, but has seen his price knocked down to 11/4 following another standout display for Bayern Munich in the Champions League.
Kylian Mbappe is third in the market at 7/2, while Arsenal midfielder Declan Rice has also seen his odds narrow this week from 6/1 to 5/1.
With 47 goals in 39 appearances in all competitions for Bayern this season, Kane has been instrumental in their success – both domestically and in European competition – and England fans will be hoping he carries that form into the summer.
With the 2026 World Cup getting underway in just three months time, the Three Lions forward could cement his position as Ballon d’Or favourite if he leads his country to victory.
Ballon d’Or Winner 2026 Odds:
Punters can bet on the 2026 Ballon d’Or at William Hill and here is the current state of the market:
- Harry Kane – 11/4
- Lamine Yamal – 3/1
- Kylian Mbappe – 7/2
- Declan Rice – 5/1
- Michael Olise – 16/1
- Bar – 20/1
Spokesperson for William Hill, Lee Phelps, said: “Harry Kane is continuing to make moves in our Ballon d’Or market and we now make the Bayern striker the outright favourite to be the first Englishman to win the award since Michael Owen in 2001.
“Kane’s new price of 11/4 – down from 3/1 last night – has seen him edge ahead of Lamine Yamal (3/1) and Kylian Mbappe (7/2) in the betting. Declan Rice is another Englishman who’s made positive moves in the market, with the Arsenal midfielder now 5/1 from 6/1.”
With Bayern still very much fighting for silverware on multiple fronts and England regarded as leading contenders for World Cup glory, the opportunity is there for Kane to claim the Ballon d’Or crown.
