Man City will travel to the Rhein-Neckar-Arena in Germany to face Hoffenheim in what should play out as an intriguing game. The early kick-off, which will be aired by Sky Sports, sees Pep Guardiola’s side going into the clash after losing out to an empowered Lyon side in match day one.
Hoffenheim vs Man City: Odds and predictions
Julian Nagelsmann’s side come into the game tipped as 13/2 favourites as part of our Hoffenheim vs Man City predictions, meanwhile City are 7/20 outsiders, with a draw projected at intrepid odds of 17/4.
Pep’s men have impressed in the league, and are undefeated but in the Champions League and it’s a different kettle of fish. In previous seasons, their campaigns have been hit-and-miss, with premature exits in the round of 16 and the quarter-finals occurring in consecutive years.
To cap things off, they’ve began this year’s competition with a loss to Bruno Génésio’s Lyon.
If they are to bounce back from this early set-back, they will need all their attacking players operating at peak efficiency.
Raheem Sterling has been vital to their efforts. The Englishman has scored four goals in nine games, and our betting tipsters are wagering he’ll make the score-sheet again, with odds of 5/6.
City won’t be given an easy ride against Hoffenheim; the balance of youth and experience in Nagelsmann’s side has so far earned them points against heavyweights Dortmund and Hannover 96.
A rising star in his side is Englishman Reiss Nelson. The 18-year-old made the loan move from Arsenal to the Bundesliga and has come leaps and bounds. He now has the opportunity to prove himself on the biggest stage, against one of the best team’s in the world.
Nelson is betting at 18/5 to score, as part of our Hoffenheim vs Man City predictions.

Hoffenheim vs Man City: match betting, best bet, scorer tips
Predicted score: Man City to win 3-1, trading @ 9/1
The first match tips of our Hoffenheim vs Man City predictions sees the Blues picked to win 3-1.
Based on their opening performances in the Premier League where they have so far scored 19 goals in seven matches, averaging over two goals per game, wagering on this bet may be the most sensible thing to go with.
With the attacking players that Pep has at his beck and call, there is little excuse for this score-line not to play out.
If it’s not Sergio Aguero scoring the goals, then it’s Gabriel Jesus. If not Jesus, then it’s Riyad Mahrez. If not Mahrez, then Raheem Sterling…the list could go on.
Things don’t look too good for the ‘Die Kraichgauer’, and if they are to take anything away from this game, it will be by snuffing out City’s excellent attack, whether that be by force or by tackle.
Check out who we’ve backed to become the top scorer in the Champions League this season.
The Croatian forward has already bagged two goals in his first three Bundesliga starts this season, and predictions based on pre-match form suggest that he will be just as prolific in front of goal come Wednesday.
Kramaric possesses not only strength to hold-up play, but also stunning striking ability, which could cause City’s central defenders some problems.
Vincent Kompany and co struggled to keep Nabil Fekir in check in their last Champions League outing against Lyon, and those same weaknesses could come back to haunt the men in blue through the 27-year-old.
We’ve tipped him to make it onto the score-sheet anytime during the game – with odds of 9/4 – and if City are to stop him getting onto the ball, they will need to cut out the supply-line to the big Croatian.
Predicted scorer tips: Sergio Aguero to score first, tipped @ 14/5
Manchester City’s record goal-scorer has already netted five goals in his opening seven starts, and is now in the mix to come out of those hunting in the pack as the alpha.
Against Hoffenheim, he will be looking to add to his personal tally, by using his pace and strength on the counter against Nagelsmann’s high-flying fullbacks.
With odds of 14/5, betting on Aguero to score-again- as part of our Hoffenheim vs Man City could just be the perfect bet to punt on.
