Bradford City v Cambridge United Prediction

Huddersfield Town v Oxford United Prediction

Kick-off: 7.45pm

Huddersfield Town preview – Joe Taylor netted twice late on (82 mins and 89 mins, penalty) to clinch the aforementioned 2-1 triumph at Cambridge United.

Huddersfield boss Martin Drury said: “We weren’t at our best and ultimately managed to get something out of the game”. It keeps the Terriers unbeaten under Drury since his 27th May appointment.

Oxford United preview – Another undefeated side spanning their two games beyond Championship relegation. So far so good then for new boss Aaron Ramsey.

Meanwhile, club chief executive Tim Williams stepped down from his role on Sunday terminating almost four years of employment.

Wycombe Wanderers v Sheffield Wednesday Prediction

Kick-off: 7.45pm

Wycombe Wanderers preview – Struggling in the relegation region due to two draws within three winless outings. I thought Saturday’s 5-1 drubbing at Stockport County was particularly alarming.

Sheffield Wednesday preview – I am really pleased for Wednesday’s extremely loyal fans that fortunes have improved after last season’s problem fuelled relegation. Significantly, two wins to date matches their entire Championship tally from 2025/26.

Furthermore, the 7-2 hammering of visitors Bromley on Saturday saw the Owls chalk up seven for the first time in more than 23 years dating to a similar 7-2 display away to Burnley on 26th April 2003.

Score prediction: Wanderers 0 Wednesday 1.

Leicester City v Plymouth Argyle Prediction

Kick-off: 7.45pm

Leicester City preview – Nursing back-to-back relegations and just two draws in a League One commencement bereft of victory.

Although I felt the Foxes were unlucky not to edge Saturday’s scoreless affair at MK Dons where they mustered seven shots on target as opposed to one by the home team. Nevertheless, Sunday’s 1-0 win for AFC Wimbledon over Wigan Athletic plunged Leicester into the bottom four.

Plymouth Argyle preview – Fresh from earning their first maximum points of the season 2-0 at home to Bradford City across the weekend.

Argyle boss Tom Cleverley said afterwards: “I am very proud of my lads. It was almost a complete performance and we must now take it forward with us.”
