A SURPRISING managerial change dominates the build-up to another weekend of significant EFL League One combat.

There is imminent action affecting promotion, Play-Off and relegation issues. Accordingly, League One betting activity is proving extremely popular.

Cardiff City v Stockport County

Kick-off: 12.30pm

Bradford City preview – Two defeats across three League outings for the third ranked Bantams including last Saturday’s 2-1 home setback against leaders Cardiff City. However still aiming for consecutive promotions which I feel is certainly achievable.

Score prediction: Manning masterclass 2-1.

Plymouth Argyle v Luton Town

Kick-off: 12.30pm

Plymouth Argyle preview – Lower mid-table protecting a five match unbeaten League and Cup spree culminating in three successive wins. Nonetheless, they need to improve on seven home EFL defeats to date representing League One’s worst tally.

Luton Town preview – Just goal difference is keeping the Hatters outside of Play-Off discussions in 7th slot.

That’s despite one victory spanning four League and Cup assignments. Luton are reportedly holding talks with Hull City midfielder Kasey Palmer regarding an incoming loan move.

Bolton Wanderers v Leyton Orient

Stevenage v Mansfield Town

Stevenage preview – No wins in seven League fixtures mean Stevenage have slipped from automatic promotion contention down to eighth – a point below Play-Off considerations.

Their last home EFL success was 2-0 versus Luton Town on Saturday 4th October. Yet they’ve only lost once at the Lamex Stadium in League One exertions throughout 2025/26.
