League 2 Predictions Today – Saturday 29th November 2025

League 2 Football Preview

A HUGE promotion-impacting clash dominates the build up to another busy weekend of EFL League Two combat.

Meanwhile, the push for Play-Off participation is incredibly tight with only five points spanning 4th down to 14th positions. Accordingly, League Two betting activity is proving very popular.

Here are the upcoming pairings I am anticipating most alongside considered score predictions to guide your football betting

Milton Keynes Dons v Fleetwood Town

  • Kick-off: 12.30pm

Milton Keynes Dons preview – The pre-season favourites hover one point below automatic promotion contention. Amassing five wins in eight EFL encounters losing just once. Furthermore, Dons are divisional highest scorers racking up 33 goals.

Fleetwood Town preview – A point under Play-off discussions following one defeat during nine League and Cup games.

Score prediction: Dons devastating 4-2.

Walsall v Bromley

  • Kick-off: 3pm

Walsall preview – 1st entertains 3rd signifying this division’s game of the day. Walsall enjoy a one point cushion despite three defeats in five EFL outings.

Yet it is four wins from five across all competitions. They returned to the summit thanks to a 2-0 success at Harrogate Town last Saturday. Home fortunes are mixed though reflecting three losses in eight 2025/26 engagements.

Bromley preview – Boasting five maximum pointers amid six EFL games winning the past four. Thereby moving up into the automatic promotion rungs one point ahead of the chasing pack.

Score prediction: Entertaining 2-2.

Chesterfield v Swindon Town

  • Kick-off: 3pm

Chesterfield preview – Two points off the top three. The Spireites protect six EFL matches unbeaten albeit drawing four of them. No home League defeats throughout 2025/26 registering four wins and four draws.

Swindon Town preview – Five games unconquered in EFL affairs including four draws. Knocked from 1st place due to being held 2-2 against visitors Grimsby Town last Saturday when Ian Holloway’s men threw away a two goal advantage.

Swindon red hot marksman Aaron Drinan is the division’s foremost scorer on 10 strikes.

Score prediction: Spireites superb 2-0.

Bristol Rovers v Notts County

  • Kick-off: 3pm

Bristol Rovers preview – Two points clear of the dreaded dotted relegation line after seven straight EFL defeats. Consequently, Rovers boss Darrell Clarke is treading a shaky tightrope in the League Two managerial sack race.

Clarke said: “I will always keep fighting. There is negativity right now because of the results we are having. So I want a siege mentality within my players. We must roll our sleeves up and go again.”

Notts County preview – Four points beneath pole position. Last Saturday’s 3-1 home reverse against Colchester United was a first defeat in seven League games which contained four victories.

Score prediction: Rovers return to fruitful ways 1-0.

Shrewsbury Town v Gillingham

  • Kick-off: 3pm

Shrewsbury Town preview – One point above the relegation slots nursing three losses among four League and Cup assignments.

Gillingham preview – Three matches lacking EFL defeats leave the Gills three points short of third spot. I’ve been impressed by a couple of spectacular goals smashed home by experienced midfield maestro Bradley Dack in the past fortnight.

Score prediction: Gills gallant 3-1.

Newport County v Barrow

  • Kick-off: 3pm

Newport County preview – Rock bottom sitting five points adrift of safety. This is a first home match in charge for ex-Leicester City defender Christian Fuchs who was appointed as Newport manager on Thursday 20th November.

He commenced by overseeing a 3-0 humbling at Oldham Athletic. That made it four back to back losses in all competitions suffered by the South Wales team. They haven’t produced a home victory thus far in 2025/26 League action (one draw, seven defeats).

Fuchs defiantly said: “We need to revisit basics by solidifying our defence and our shape behind the ball. If we generate more confidence then we will create momentum.”

Barrow preview – Four games bereft of EFL wins whilst losing the last two.

Score prediction: Not pretty 0-0.
