This is a huge game as far as both teams’ promotion chances are concerned, with the hosts sitting seventh, one point and one place ahead of their visitors, with Grimsby having a game in hand.
Grimsby’s positive recent away form has seen them keep six clean sheets in their last eight on the road, but the Tuesday’s venue hasn’t been a happy hunting ground for the Mariners, who have won one of their last four league visits to the Chesterfield FC Stadium.
The hosts need to bounce back from last week’s 0-3 loss to Oldham, and are expected to do so having not suffered back-to-back Tuesday losses since 2018.
