Spurs’ 2-1 defeat to the Hammers knocked out half of the remaining field, and with Leeds securing a 91st minute winner against Fulham, all eyes turned to the Amex for last night’s clash.
With the points shared on the South Coast, one William Hill player took home the £200k winnings, taking the total payout for this season’s inaugural Final One Standing campaign to £1,260,000.
Free-to-play payouts so far include:
- £500k split between seven players
- Two £200k pots each paid to a single winner
- Four £50k pots won
- Eight £20k pots won
Spokesperson for William Hill, Lee Phelps, said: “I can’t stop thinking about what it must’ve been like to watch a football match with £200,000 riding on the result! That’s what one of our Final One Standing players did when Brighton hosted Bournemouth last night.
“If the Seagulls failed to win, they would win the full £200k jackpot – and that’s exactly what happened as the teams drew 1-1. Huge congratulations to yet another Final One Standing winner. That brings our total payout to more than £1.2million since the start of the season.
“If you’ve been knocked out, never played or won a couple hundred grand, you can enter the new free-to-play £20k pot right away to be in with a chance of winning a life-changing amount of money.”
