Liverpool given a 25% chance of winning trophy in Iraola’s first season
Liverpool are 1/3 to not win a major trophy in 2026/27, an implied probability of 75%, following the arrival of former Bournemouth coach Andoni Iraola.
After a turbulent season under Arne Slot last term, Iraola is 4/1 not to last the season, and 6/1 to be gone by Christmas.
It is 5/1 for Iraola to follow Slot’s footsteps and win the Premier League title in his first campaign in the Anfield dugout, and 9/1 to win the club’s seventh European crown.
Spokesperson for William Hill, Lee Phelps, said: “Following the much-anticipated confirmation of Andoni Iraola’s arrival at Liverpool, the Reds are 1/3 to fail to win a major trophy next season under their new coach, an implied probability of 75%.
“Replacing Arne Slot, a coach who guided Liverpool to the Premier League title in his first season on Merseyside, is no small task. The market tells us that the Reds are more likely than not to end 2026/27 empty-handed.
“On Iraola’s prospects in the Anfield dugout, the Basque boss is 4/1 not to last the full campaign and 6/1 to be gone before Christmas.
“For Reds with a more positive outlook on Iraola’s appointment, it is 5/1 for Liverpool to reclaim their Premier League crown and 9/1 to win the Champions League.”
