Mohamed Salah to Saudi Pro League now most likely Deadline Day transfer

Salah 11/8 from 7/4 to go to Saudi; Raheem Sterling 6/4 to join Fulham

A move for Mohamed Salah to any Saudi Pro League club is now rated as the most likely transfer to be completed on Deadline Day, according to the latest odds from William Hill.

Salah’s price has been cut to 11/8 from 7/4, making a potential Saudi switch for the Liverpool star the standout market move as the transfer window deadline approaches.

Although no longer the most likely deal overall, Fulham’s pursuit of Raheem Sterling is gathering momentum. The free-agent winger has shortened again, into 6/4 from 7/4, to join the Cottagers.

Elsewhere in the market, Micky van de Ven to Liverpool and Ruben Neves to Manchester United are both priced at 2/1, while a return for Lionel Messi to Barcelona remains an 11/4 shot.

Spokesperson for William Hill, Lee Phelps, said: “Deadline Day always brings dramatic twists in the market, and today all the momentum is behind Mohamed Salah potentially making a late move to the Saudi Pro League. We’ve cut the price on the Egyptian going to any Saudi club into 11/8 from 7/4, which makes it the most likely deal to take place today.

“Raheem Sterling’s proposed move to Fulham is another one attracting strong interest, and that’s been backed into 6/4 as the Cottagers look to take advantage of his free-agent status.

“There are still plenty of eye-catching possibilities further down the list too, including Micky van de Ven to Liverpool and Ruben Neves to Manchester United, both at 2/1, so it could be a frantic final few hours.”
