Next Liverpool Manager Odds: Who Could Be Next In The Anfield Hot Seat After Arne Slot?

Anfield Liverpool Football Club

Pressure is starting to mount on Liverpool manager Arne Slot after a string of poor performances and disappointing results have left the Reds languishing outside of the European places.

The defending champions have lost four Premier League matches on the spin and frustration is growing at Anfield, with many suggesting that Slot’s position may be under threat before the end of the 2025/26 campaign.

With Slot now as short as 10/1 in the latest football betting to be the next Premier League manager to leave his position, fans are beginning to speculate on who could replace the Dutchman at Anfield.

According to online sources, Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner could be lined up to take over as the next Liverpool manager if the club decide to part ways with Slot in the near future.

The Austrian led the Eagles to their historic FA Cup success last season, while also masterminding August’s Community Shield victory over Liverpool in August. On paper, he looks an ideal candidate for the Reds job.

In addition, Glasner’s contract expires at the end of the 2025/26 season so Liverpool will not need to pay any compensation to Crystal Palace if they decide to hold off and change things next summer.

Andoni Iraola has led AFC Bournemouth up to second in the Premier League table and he is another manager that looks destined for a job at one of the country’s biggest clubs in the not-so-distant future.

Bournemouth have been simply sublime in the opening months of the 2025/26 campaign and Iraola has always been highly regarded by football supporters across Europe. He would be a very interesting appointment indeed.

The likes of Zinedine Zidane and Xabi Alonso will attract attention in the media given their high profile status but those managers are linked with pretty much every job and it’s hard to envision a genuine move to Anfield at this stage.
