Muscat back on top in wild Rangers manager market shake-up

Kevin Muscat has once again become the new favourite to take over Rangers following the dismissal of Russell Martin, despite Steven Gerrard being backed heavily again the market.
Kevin Muscat 10/11 to 11/10; Gerrard 14/1 into 6/5
Spokesperson for William Hill, Lee Phelps, said: “The next Rangers manager market has gone absolutely wild– it’s been one of the most volatile few hours we’ve seen in a long time.
“We thought Steven Gerrard had stepped away from the race entirely, but he’s suddenly stormed back into favouritism and is now 6/5 having been as short as 4/5 to return to Ibrox. Even at prices as long as 14/1 yesterday, a steady stream of bets continued to flow in for Gerrard, and momentum is now firmly back with the Liverpool legend, who could be set to make a major U-turn having reportedly turned down the role last week.
“Kevin Muscat, who was as short as 10/11 yesterday, has drifted out to 11/10, while Ole Gunnar Solskjaer holds steady at 10/1. The market keeps shifting minute by minute, it’s a real rollercoaster right now.”
