There’s only a handful of Premier League games this weekend but with each one televised, it has never been easier to keep up with all the goals and match action.
The clash of the weekend is arguably Liverpool’s trip to Norwich on Saturday and we’ve unearthed some tempting bets as the Reds look to continue their winning ways en route to securing the title.
Gulf in class can lead to more goals
Though the line-ups have changed along the way, Liverpool’s 31 goals in their previous eight games against Norwich must leave the Canaries’ defence wishing they could fly away.
Add in that the hosts have the worst defence in the league, having shipped 47 goals, as well as the worst goalscoring record (24) and you begin to understand the difficulty of the task at hand.
It’s therefore unsurprising that the Reds are 27/100 to leave Carrow Road with all three points. In fact, the only surprise is that Liverpool aren’t even shorter to continue their incredible winning run.
With an average of 3.8 goals per game scored by the likes of Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane in this match and with the gulf in class getting wider, Liverpool to score over 3.5 goals is 11/4.
Anticipate an Alexander-Arnold assist
No players bar Trent Alexander-Arnold and Kevin De Bruyne have managed to hit double-figure assists this season and Saturday’s game looks a golden opportunity for the former to bag another.
The England ace has already hit ten for the season despite being a defender, sitting three clear of his team-mate Roberto Firmino, who is level with the likes of Riyad Mahrez and David Silva.
Having already alluded to the vulnerability of a Norwich side who look set to play Championship football next season, the hosts are unlikely to have enough to cope with his pace and accuracy.
An Alexander-Arnold assist is 5/2 and when your delightful crosses and passes are falling to Salah, Mane and Firmino, that looks a more than tempting price as a single.
Threesy does it for Liverpool
The Mane, Salah and Firmino trio has notched an incredible 41 goals already in the Premier League this season and it would take a brave person to back against any of them improving on that here.
Salah leads the trio with 18 goals as he once again leaves former club Chelsea rueing the day they flogged him to Serie A side Roma, while Mane has scored 13 and the Brazilian a further 10.
It’s therefore understandable that the biggest price on offer between the three forwards to net anytime is Firmino at 13/10 and that may not be big enough to tempt many.
However, those looking for a bit of value or simply just an interest bet while watching on Saturday afternoon could do worse than take the 13/2 available on all three to score anytime.
