Premier League Betting Preview: Liverpool lead the way
The Premier League returns this weekend after the conclusion of the second international break of the 2024/25 campaign.
Liverpool sit top of the pile after three wins in a row prior to the break. Man City and Arsenal trail them by a point, with Chelsea making up the top four.
Four sides remain winless after the opening seven games, with Wolves and Southampton only having a point to their names so far.
This weekend’s action kicks off with Spurs v West Ham, while Wolves face Man City on Sunday before the big game of the weekend comes from Anfield as Liverpool host Chelsea.

- Man Utd v Brentford: United have won each of their last five home league games against the Bees by an aggregate score of 13-2
- Newcastle v Brighton: At home, Newcastle are unbeaten in their last 11 games (W6 D5). And they’ve won two of the last three games against Brighton at St James’ Park (D1).
- Middlesbrough v Bristol City: City have picked up two points from a possible 12 on the road this season (D2 L2). They’ve only won two of their 14 away league matches in 2024 (D5 L7).

Spurs v West Ham – Saturday, 19th October @ 12:30
- This will be the eighth time Spurs and West Ham have faced each other in the first Premier League matchday back after an international break, with Spurs so far unbeaten in the previous seven (W4 D3).
- Johnson has scored in each of his last six games in all competitions for Spurs. The Wales forward netted after five minutes when these sides last met in April.
