There is plenty to still play for in the Premier League with relegation and the race for the Champions League still to be decided.

Here is our preview of the penultimate round of matches.

Can Villa survive the drop?

On Tuesday Mikel Arteta’s rejuvenated Arsenal side travel to Aston Villa who desperately need to take all three points if they are to stay in the Premier League.

It has been a brilliant week for Arteta’s side with the Gunners defeating Liverpool in the Premier League as well as cruising past Manchester City in the FA Cup semi-final on Saturday. With two games to play, it is official that Arsenal will end the season on their lowest points tally over a 38-game season, but they will be looking to put this to the back of their minds and end the season strongly. Since joining the club, only Mohamed Salah has scored more goals (68) than Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (66) in all competitions and the Gabon international is 4/5 to score anytime here.

Villa were cruelly stripped of three points last time out as Everton scored a late equaliser keeping them three points adrift of Watford in 17th. Although Villa are in trouble, they can win consecutive home matches for the first time since Tim Sherwood in May 2015 and could go three league games unbeaten for only the second time this season. The Villains are 5/2 for victory here.

Manchester United to set up final day showdown?

Manchester United host West Ham in a crucial fixture at ‘The Theatre of Dreams’ on Wednesday evening with the chance to move into the top four.

United will be looking to bounce back in style from their FA Cup defeat to Chelsea on Sunday and this is the game they need to win. Like Chelsea, United were given a great Champions League boost on Sunday thanks to Spurs’ win over Leicester and with the Red Devils facing the Foxes on the final day of the season, a win is needed to strengthen their chances of top European football next year. United are priced at 2/9 to defeat David Moyes’ West Ham.

West Ham’s victory against Watford has guaranteed their place in the Premier League for the 2020/21 season. Michail Antonio has been the main man in recent weeks with the talisman scoring seven times in his last five games and he is currently 5/2 to net once again this time round.

Chelsea one win from Champions League football

Frank Lampard’s Chelsea come up against an out-of-form Liverpool side at Anfield on Wednesday night with the hope of cementing their Champions League place for next season.

Sunday was a brilliant day for Chelsea with the London side reaching yet another FA Cup final after defeating United at Wembley, but it was also a great day thanks to Spurs. Their victory over Leicester means that Chelsea only need to win one of their last two games if they are to guarantee themselves a place in the Champions League for next season. The Blues are the underdogs heading into this fixture and are priced at 13/5 to be victorious on Wednesday night.

Due to Liverpool’s recent defeat to Arsenal, they cannot break the all-time Premier League points record which is a blow for Jurgen Klopp’s side, given the virtually note-perfect season they have had. Liverpool will be lifting the Premier League trophy against Frank Lampard’s side on Wednesday evening and they will be looking to celebrate in style with a win. Liverpool are Evens to defeat the London side.
