Solskjær goes odds-on for Man Utd return

Manchester United are on the hunt for a new manager following the sacking of Ruben Amorim, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been backed into the favourite.

Ole Gunnar Solskjær is now the 4/5 odds-on favourite with William Hill to make a sensational return as Manchester United manager.

The former United striker, who previously led the club between 2018 and 2021, has seen strong support from punters, having been backed in from 10/1 to 4/5 to take charge once again at Old Trafford.

Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner is the 3/1 second favourite in the betting, while current United coach Darren Fletcher is priced at 4/1 to turn his interim role into a permanent appointment. Former England boss Gareth Southgate is also prominent in the market at 11/2.

Michael Carrick, who remains highly regarded after his time at Manchester United and Middlesbrough, is available at 8/1, while Enzo Maresca, who recently left Chelsea, can be backed at 9/1. PSG manager Luis Enrique has entered the market this morning at 10/1.
