Premier League Predictions for Saturday 10th May

With just three games left to play in the Premier League, there’s still so much to play for with several teams hunting down a European position for next season.
The Premier League action on Saturday gets underway at 3pm across the country, Fulham take on Everton at Craven Cottage, Ipswich Town play their penultimate Premier League home game against Brentford, Southampton will take on Manchester City at St Marys, whilst Brighton make the trip to Molineux to face Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Saturday night football in the Premier League comes from the south coast, as Bournemouth take on Aston Villa in a huge fixture in terms of a European place.

Now, let’s take a closer look at some football betting angles for Saturday’s Premier League fixtures:
Fulham v Everton – Saturday, 3pm
- An eighth place finish in the Premier League could potentially mean European football, so a 1-0 defeat on Saturday away at Aston Villa could be a defeat that costs Fulham that chance, although despite sitting eleventh prior to kick off, the Cottagers remain just two points off Bournemouth in eighth.
- Marco Silva will want to make sure his side’s season isn’t just going to fizzle out with three games left to play, they’ve won just one of their last four Premier League games, that came away at Southampton.
- The last three meetings between these two sides have ended in a stalemate, whilst the last two here at Craven Cottage have both ended goalless.
——————————– - Everton were left a little frustrated on their penultimate game at Goodison Park on Saturday, the Toffees went two goals ahead against already relegated Ipswich Town but couldn’t take their chances and ultimately paid the price, with a 2-2 stalemate.
- The Blues have won just four of their seventeen Premier League away games this season, scoring just twelve goals in the process, nobody has scored less away from home in this campaign.
- Everton haven’t beaten Fulham in their last seven attempts, although their last victory in this meeting did come here at Craven Cottage back in 2020.
Prediction: Both Teams To Score A Header #YourOdds (14/1 – *odds subject to change – prices correct at the time of writing*)
Ipswich Town v Brentford – Saturday, 3pm
- Ipswich will be hoping to build on last weekends 2-2 stalemate with Everton, the Tractor Boys had to come from two goals behind to claim a point on Merseyside, that’s their fifteenth point on the road in the Premier League.
- Things haven’t been as good at Portman Road for Kieran McKenna’s side, they’ve picked up just seven points from a possible fifty-one, whilst goals have also been hard to come by, with just thirteen goals scored here on home soil, only Southampton have scored fewer (12).
- It’s difficult to put a case together in this one for already relegated Ipswich Town, they’ve won just one game in their last twelve across all competitions, whilst the Tractor Boys haven’t beaten Brentford in their last four attempts.
——————————– - Brentford secured their third win in a row on Sunday against Manchester United with a 4-3 victory, the scoreline actually flattered United a little bit given they scored two goals late on but the Bees won’t care too much as they moved up to ninth, just one point off the top eight.
- Victory here would see Brentford make it four wins in a row for the first time since 1939 in the English top-flight, it doesn’t seem to unreasonable given Thomas Frank’s side have won six of their last eight games away from home.
- If this fixture is anything like the reverse fixture back in October then we’ll be in for a treat, it took a 96th minute winner from Brentford to secure a 4-3 victory against the ten men of Ipswich Town.
Prediction: Liam Delap & Yoane Wissa Each Over 1 Shot On Target – #YourOdds (5/1 – *odds subject to change – prices correct at the time of writing*)
Southampton v Manchester City – Saturday, 3pm
- Southampton still sit bottom of the Premier League and need one more point to beat Derby County’s awful record of eleven points from an entire Premier League season, they are running out of time, three games left to go.
- If anything sums up the Saints’ season, it was their trip to Leicester City on Saturday afternoon with the Foxes putting an end to their twelve game winless run (L11, D1) with a 2-0 victory against Southampton.
- With the visit of Manchester City on Saturday, it’s looking likely that the Saints will pick up their twenty-ninth defeat in this Premier League campaign, with only four other sides suffering as many defeats over the years (Derby County, Sunderland, Sheffield United and Ipswich Town).
——————————– - Compared to their usual standards over the years, it’s been a very poor season for Manchester City but they still remain on course to pick up a Champions League place for next season, whilst they’ve also booked their place in another FA Cup final.
- Pep Guardiola’s side are unbeaten in their last seven Premier League outings (W5, D2), it’s the type of form which has seen the Blues move up to third and now just three points off Arsenal in second, they’ll fancy their chances of leapfrogging the gunners.
- Manchester City have lost just one of their last fifteen Premier League meetings with Southampton, whilst two of their last three victories here at St Mary’s in all competitions have ended in a 4-1 win for the Blues.
Prediction: Kevin de Bruyne To Assist A Goal In Each Half – #YourOdds (10/1 – *odds subject to change – prices correct at the time of writing*)
Wolves v Brighton & Hove Albion – Saturday, 3pm
- It’s been a real turn of events for Wolverhampton Wanderers under Vitor Pereira, having flirted with relegation for the majority of the season, the Old Gold now sit thirteenth in the Premier League.
- Wolves travelled to Manchester City on Monday night off the back of six consecutive Premier League victories and would have felt disappointed to leave the Etihad Stadium with nothing to show for their efforts, a 1-0 defeat ended that fine run of form but an achievement they can still be proud off.
- Despite only playing for pride now, Wolves will be looking to bounce back on Saturday against Brighton although that could be tough given they’ve won just one of their last four meetings at Molineux against the Seagulls.
——————————– - Brighton followed up their eventful 3-2 victory against West Ham with a 1-1 draw against high-flying Newcastle United on Sunday afternoon, the draw keeps their European ambitions alive as they remain just one point off Bournemouth in eighth place.
- Fabian Hurzeler’s side have lost their last two away games though, they haven’t lost three Premier League away games in a row since 2021, victory here could see the Seagulls take the last potential European spot with two games left, it could be huge.
- We could be in for goals in this one, Brighton have scored in all but one of their seventeen league away games this season, whilst they’ve seen both teams on the scoresheet in twelve of those seventeen (71%), they’ve won their last three PL games away at Wolves, scoring at least three goals in each of those.
Prediction: Both Teams To Score In Both Halves – Price Boost (11/1 – *odds subject to change – prices correct at the time of writing*)
Bournemouth v Aston Villa – Saturday, 5.30pm
- Bournemouth travelled to Arsenal as the underdogs on the betting market last Saturday but the Cherries came from behind in North London to secure a 2-1 victory, a win that moved them up to eighth and their UEFA Conference League dreams are edging closer.
- However, Andoni Iraola will be well aware that there’s still work to do for his side to secure that European spot and any slip-ups now could be costly for the Cherries, given only two points separate them from Fulham in eleventh, it’s very congested.
- Bournemouth should be full of confidence ahead of the visit of Aston Villa, they’ve not lost any of their last five Premier League games, whilst they’ve lost just one of their four games on home soil against Villa, that came in their opening Premier League game in 2015. (W2, D1, L1).
——————————– - Aston Villa endured a tough couple of defeats in recent weeks, their late defeat against Manchester City was followed up by a 3-0 thumping in the FA Cup semi-final against Crystal Palace at Wembley.
- However, it’s far from over for Unai Emery’s side as their 1-0 victory against Fulham on Saturday has moved Villa to within three points of the top five as they hunt down a Champions League spot for next season but like many others, you feel like they cannot afford a slip-up in these last three games.
- It’s a tough one to call this, Aston Villa have won just three of their last nine league meetings against the Cherries (W3, L4, D2), whilst Unai Emery has never lost a meeting against Andoni Iraola in their five previous clashes.
Prediction: Ollie Watkins To Score Assisted By Either Marco Asensio or Morgan Rogers – #YourOdds (11/2 – *odds subject to change – prices correct at the time of writing*)
