Premier League Betting Tips for Manchester United v Manchester City

Manchester United Old Trafford

This weekend will see the Premier League get underway for Gameweek twenty-two of this campaign, with the table starting to take shape we’re all set for another round of pure PL drama.

@Footy_Tipster gives his best predictions ahead of this round of fixtures in the English Premier League..

Old Trafford awaits as we start this weekends Premier League action with a mouth-watering Manchester derby, as Manchester City make a short trip across the city to face their rivals Manchester United.

Now, let’s take a closer look at some Premier League odds and Premier League betting angles for Saturday’s fixture:

Man United v Man City – Saturday, 12.30pm

Punters can bet on Man United v Man City with William Hill

  • It appears as though Manchester United won’t be recruiting a permanent manager until the summer, with the Red Devils turning to former player Michael Carrick to steady the ship until the end of the season, it’s a tough first game.
  • United were dumped out of the FA Cup last weekend after a 2-1 defeat on home soil to Brighton, they’ll now play just forty games this season, 38 of which will come in the Premier League making it their shortest season in over 100 years, incredible.
  • Manchester United lost the reverse fixture 3-0 back in September, but they haven’t failed to score in both league meetings against their bitter rivals since the 1973-74 season, a campaign that saw them relegated from the top-flight. Remarkably, a win here would move them into the top four, even just for a few hours.
    ——————————–————————
  • Manchester City lost ground again in terms of their title challenge after a 1-1 draw against Brighton made it three consecutive Premier League stalemates, leaving the Blues six points behind Arsenal at the summit.
  • Since those stalemates, City have been ruthless though after their 10-1 victory against Exeter in the FA Cup last weekend was followed up with a 2-0 win away at Newcastle in the EFL Cup semi-final first leg, extending their unbeaten run to thirteen games across all competitions.
  • Pep Guardiola’s side have enjoyed their trips to Old Trafford in recent years, having won six of their last ten visits here in all competitions (D2, L2), Old Trafford will become very toxic if City get a grip of this game and i think they will, away win in the Manchester derby.

Prediction: Both Teams To Score & Manchester City To Win, Man United 1-2 Man City.
