Premier League Predictions And Betting Tips for Saturday 12th April

The Premier League continues this weekend and with just seven games left to play in this campaign, three points seem that extra bit valuable with so much still to play for.
@Footy_Tipster gives his best predictions ahead of this round of fixtures in the Premier League..
We start this weekends action at the Etihad Stadium, where Manchester City continue their top four challenge as they welcome Crystal Palace at 12.30pm.
Later that afternoon, Brighton & Hove Albion face struggling Leicester City, Nottingham Forest and Everton will battle it out at the City Ground, before already-relegated Southampton take on Aston Villa.
Saturday night football in the Premier League comes from the Emirates, as Brentford make the trip across the capital to face Arsenal at 5.30pm.

Now, let’s take a closer look at some betting angles for Saturday’s Premier League fixtures:
Manchester City v Crystal Palace – Saturday, 12.30pm
- Manchester City come into this game at the Etihad Stadium fresh off the back of a goalless draw against Manchester United on Sunday, a game which lacked quality from both sides.
- Pep Guardiola’s side have been boosted with the news that the Premier League will receive an extra place in the UEFA Champions League next season, meaning the Blues can finish fifth now and still play European football next season.
- Man City should be confident of making it back-to-back victories at home for the first time since January given they’ve beaten Crystal Palace in three of their last five outings, although the reverse fixture finished 2-2 back in December.
——————————– - Crystal Palace extended their unbeaten run to seven games last weekend with a 2-1 victory against Brighton, despite finishing the game with just nine men.
- It’s a run of form which has moved Oliver Glasner’s side up the table at a rapid speed, the Eagles are eleventh and just five points off the top eight, which could offer up European football for next season.
- Palace have been fantastic away from home, they’ve lost just one of their last fourteen competitive fixtures on the road, with six wins in their last seven on their travels.
Brighton & Hove Albion v Leicester City – Saturday, 3pm
- Brighton’s European ambitions have taken a hit in recent weeks following back-to-back defeats in the Premier League, leaving the Seagulls four points off the top seven prior to this weekends action.
- Brighton should be confident of bouncing back here though, they’ve beaten Leicester City in their last two meetings on the South Coast.
- The Seagulls are also unbeaten in their last six meetings with Leicester City over 90 minutes, whilst they haven’t lost two games in a row at home since May 2024.
——————————– - Leicester City faced Newcastle United at home on Monday evening but with so many empty seats visible, it’s clear to see that the Leicester faithful have had enough of not just this campaign, but those that run the club.
- Ruud van Nistelrooy’s side are now fifteen points from safety as an immediate return to the EFL Championship seems inevitable, the Foxes have taken just seven points from a possible fifty-four.
- Despite not scoring in those eight Premier League games, history of this fixture suggests that the Foxes should break that unwanted record, given both teams have found the back of the net in the last seven meetings.
Prediction: A Goal Scored From Outside The Penalty Area – YourOdds, Brighton 3-1 Leicester City.
Nottingham Forest v Everton – Saturday, 3pm
- Nottingham Forest will be looking to bounce back from their 2-1 defeat to Aston Villa on Saturday evening, it was a defeat which just puts a little more pressure on these last seven games and their top four hopes.
- The Tricky Trees go into this weekends action third in the Premier League but with teams around them winning last weekend, it means their gap to sixth place is now just five points.
- Nuno Espirito Santo’s side have lost just two games in the league at the City Ground, whilst they haven’t lost here in their last eleven outings across all competitions, it’s worth noting that Forest haven’t beaten Everton on home soil since 1995.
——————————– - Everton are slowly becoming the Premier League’s draw specialists under David Moyes, they’ve played out a stalemate in six of their last eight PL games, whilst just a single goal was the difference in the other two games, suggesting we could see another close encounter here.
- The Toffees are simply playing for pride right now, they are fifteen points above the drop with Moyes and co just counting down no doubt having one eye on next season already.
- As mentioned, i think we’ll see a close affair in this one and another draw here for Everton would bring up fifteen for the season, the most in the league for over 10 years.
Prediction: Draw, Nottingham Forest 1-1 Everton.
Southampton v Aston Villa – Saturday, 3pm
- Southampton picked up another unwanted record after their 3-1 defeat to Tottenham on Sunday afternoon, the Saints relegation is the earliest in Premier League history.
- It came as no surprise when Southampton announced that Ivan Juric had left the club the morning after their fate was sealed, they now have the task of picking up two more points to avoid becoming the worst team in Premier League history.
- Picking up those points seems unlikely in this one as they’ve lost the last four meetings with Aston villa, all to nil.
——————————– - Aston Villa picked up a huge three points on Saturday evening at home to Nottingham Forest, a result which has seen the Villans move up to seventh in the Premier League, with just two points separating them from the top four.
- Unai Emery’s side travel to the south coast after their trip to Paris on Wednesday evening, a 3-1 defeat in the UEFA Champions League quarter-final first leg against PSG isn’t ideal for Villa, with it all to do in next weeks clash at Villa Park.
- Villa should pick up all three points in this one, Southampton have picked up just five points at home this season from a possible forty-five, it would be a huge surprise if Villa don’t leave without all three points.
Prediction: Both Teams To Score & Aston Villa To Win, Southampton 1-3 Aston Villa.
Arsenal v Brentford – Saturday, 5.30pm
- Arsenal found themselves in dreamland on Tuesday evening, two unbelievable free-kicks from Declan Rice put them on their way to a huge 3-0 victory over Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions League quarter-final first leg.
- It’ll be interesting to see if Mikel Arteta rests a few of his big hitters ahead of the second leg in Madrid next week, the Gunners are nine points clear of fifth place with seven games left to play, that should be enough to secure their place in next seasons UCL.
- The Gunners have lost just one of their fifteen games at home in the league this season, whilst they’ve lost just one of their nine competitive meetings against Brentford in recent years.
——————————– - Brentford travel to the Emirates Stadium with just one win in their last five Premier League games, with the Bees now three points off a top-half finish.
- Thomas Frank’s side had put together a club record of five consecutive wins away from home in the English top-flight for the first time before their defeat at Newcastle.
- Despite not winning here in their last four visits, Brentford have found themselves on the scoresheet in all four of those games, i’m expecting more of the same in this one.
Prediction: Both Teams To Score & Arsenal To Win, Arsenal 2-1 Brentford.
