Premier League Betting Tips for Saturday 24th January

Premier League Puma Ball 2025-26

This weekend will see the Premier League get underway for Gameweek twenty-three of this campaign, with the table starting to take shape we’re all set for another round of pure PL drama.

@Footy_Tipster gives his best predictions ahead of this round of fixtures in the English Premier League..

Saturday’s Premier League action will get underway in the capital, as West Ham United welcome Sunderland to the London Stadium at 12.30pm.

Later that afternoon, we have three games kicking off at the traditional time of 3pm.

Tottenham make a trip to Lancashire to face Burnley at Turf Moor, Fulham welcome Brighton to Craven Cottage, whilst Manchester City look to bounce back against bottom of the table Wolverhampton Wanderers at the Etihad Stadium.

We conclude Saturday’s action on the south coast, as Bournemouth take on Liverpool at 5.30pm.

Now, let’s take a closer look at some Premier League odds and Premier League betting angles for Saturday’s fixtures:

West Ham v Sunderland – Saturday, 12.30pm

Punters can bet on West Ham v Sunderland with William Hill

  • Almost out of nowhere, West Ham have found a bit of belief and after beating their rivals 2-1 away from home last Saturday, a victory here would secure consecutive wins for just the second time this season.
  • The Hammers still remain five points from safety but will see this as the perfect opportunity to pile some pressure on Nottingham Forest, especially as they’ve won each of the last three home Premier League meetings against Sunderland, all of which ended 1-0.
  • West Ham have lost just one of their last twenty-one Premier League home games against promoted sides (W16 D4) and are unbeaten in their last twelve since a 2-1 loss to Brentford in October 2021, although they’ll be slight concerned having conceded two or more goals in five of their last six home league games.
    ——————————–————————
  • Sunderland remain in the top half of the Premier League following their return to the top-flight, they head to London having beat Crystal Palace 2-1 last weekend at the Stadium of Light, extending their unbeaten home record.
  • The Black Cats remain just one of two sides (Arsenal) that are yet to taste defeat on home soil in the league (W6, D5) but they’ve struggled on the road during this campaign, with just two away wins from their eleven games thus far, they’ve not won any of their last six away games in the PL.
  • Sunderland are looking to complete the Premier League double over West Ham for just the second time, previously doing so in 2010-11 when the Hammers were relegated, i’m going to back the Hammers to get over the line in this one with a narrow win.

Prediction: West Ham To Win, West Ham 2-1 Sunderland.

Burnley v Tottenham – Saturday, 3pm

Punters can bet on Burnley v Tottenham with William Hill

  • Burnley return to Turf Moor having picked up an unlikely point away at Liverpool last weekend, that’s now consecutive draws in the league for the Clarets who remain eight points from safety, so they’ll be hoping to turn these draws into victories before it’s too late.
  • Scott Parker’s side haven’t picked up three points since winning at Wolves back in October and history suggests that the wait might have to continue as they’ve not won any of their previous twenty-three games against a ‘traditional top six’ side (D4, L19), going back to 2022.
  • These two sides met back on the first day of the season, a game in which Burnley suffered a 3-0 defeat, that’s now six defeats in their last seven Premier League meetings against Tottenham.
    ——————————–————————
  • A 2-1 defeat to West Ham last weekend in front of the Spurs faithful increased the huge pressure already on Thomas Frank but a 2-0 victory against Borussia Dortmund in the UEFA Champions League provides the perfect opportunity for this Spurs side to kick on.
  • Tottenham Hotspur won’t mind travelling either, it’s not bothered them too much this season picking up eighteen points from a possible thirty-three, only Arsenal have a better away record in this Premier League campaign.
  • Tottenham are unbeaten in their last thirteen Premier League away games against promoted sides (W11 D2) since a 3-1 loss at Leeds in May 2021, whilst they’ve scored two of more goals in seven of their eleven top-flight away games this season (64%).

Prediction: Both Teams To Score & Tottenham To Win, Burnley 1-2 Tottenham Hotspur.

Fulham v Brighton – Saturday, 3pm

Punters can bet on Fulham v Brighton with William Hill

  • Fulham’s six game unbeaten run came to an abrupt end on Saturday after a 1-0 defeat at Leeds United, a defeat which frustrated boss Marco Silva having seen his side concede with just a few minutes left to play at Elland Road.
  • Just one point separates these two sides so this one feels like a big fixture in terms of any European dreams, the Cottagers are unbeaten in their last four games on home soil in all competitions, whilst they’ve won each of the last three meetings here against Brighton.
  • The Cottagers should at least find themselves on the scoresheet in this one on Saturday afternoon, they haven’t failed to scored in consecutive league games since May 2024, whilst they’ve scored in each of their last seven meetings with the Seagulls.
    ——————————–————————
  • Brighton & Hove Albion remain unbeaten in 2026 but head to west London feeling a little frustrated having played out a 1-1 draw with Bournemouth on Monday night, a game in which the Seagulls should have taken all three points.
  • Fabian Hurzeler’s side travel to the capital looking to improve their awful record in London, where they’ve won just two of their last eighteen league games here (D7, L9), whilst they’ve never beaten Fulham here in their five top-flight encounters (D1, L4).
  • Brighton have won just one of their eleven Premier League games against Fulham (D5 L5), their lowest win rate against any side they’ve faced more than twice, i’m going to back both teams to find the back of the net but a draw wouldn’t surprise me too much.

Prediction: Both Teams To Score & Draw, Fulham 1-1 Brighton.

Man City v Wolves – Saturday, 3pm

Punters can bet on Man City v Wolves with William Hill

  • Something just doesn’t seem right at Manchester City right now, a 2-0 derby defeat against Manchester United was then followed up with a shock 3-1 defeat against Bodo/Glimt in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday night, another game where Pep Guardiola’s side showed no fight, resulting in those travelling fans receiving a refund.
  • Although a nice gesture, i’m sure Manchester City fans would just rather see some fight from their players when things aren’t going their way, they have the perfect chance to bounce back on Saturday as they’re unbeaten in thirty league games against the bottom side, winning their last nine such games here by an aggregate score of 36-0.
  • Manchester City have won ten of their last eleven Premier League games against Wolves, having not won any of their last four Premier League games, anything other than a win here would see an end to any title ambitions, given they are already seven points behind the league leaders Arsenal.
    ——————————–————————
  • Wolves sit bottom of the Premier League table but have improved in recent weeks under Rob Edwards, they picked up their first win of the season against West Ham at the start of the month and have since followed that up with a draw’s against Everton and most recently Newcastle.
  • That’s now five games in all competitions since this Wolves side tasted defeat but they still remain the only side in the Premier League yet to win a game away from home this season (D3, L8)
  • Wolves have won just one of their eleven Premier League away games against Manchester City (D1 L9), losing the last five in a row and i’m expecting that poor run to continue on Saturday with a comfortable home win.

Prediction: Manchester City -2 Handicap, Manchester City 4-1 Wolves.

Bournemouth v Liverpool – Saturday, 5.30pm

Punters can bet on Bournemouth v Liverpool with William Hill

  • Bournemouth look like a side in freefall after an unbelievable start to the season but the Cherries welcome Liverpool having taken something from their last two Premier League games (W1, D1), they’ve not won consecutive home games since October.
  • Despite sitting fifteenth in the Premier League, Andoni Iraola’s side have been strong on home soil having lost just two of their last twelve home league games (W6, D4) but the Cherries have won just one of their last seven meetings here against Liverpool in all competitions (L6).
  • Bournemouth have conceded 52 goals in their 17 Premier League games against Liverpool and given only two sides have conceded more than their 41 goals in the Premier League this season, that will be a concern ahead of this meeting.
    ——————————–————————
  • Liverpool suffered a disappointing 1-1 draw against Burnley at Anfield last weekend, that’s now four draws in their last four Premier League games, they haven’t played out five consecutive stalemates since 1980.
  • The Reds head to the south coast on a high though having beat Marseille 3-0 away from home on Wednesday night in the UEFA Champions League, extending their unbeaten run to thirteen games in all competitions, whilst they are unbeaten in their last seven road trips.
  • Liverpool will be looking to continue their domination over Bournemouth, they’ve won thirteen of their last fourteen meetings in all competitions (L1), whilst they’ve scored two or more in fifteen of the last sixteen meetings.

Prediction: Both Teams To Score & Liverpool To Win, Bournemouth 2-3 Liverpool
