Erling Haaland

Where else to start than with Manchester City’s talisman, Erling Haaland. The Norwegian has already netted 10 goals this season, this is the level we have come to expect from the forward.

Just seven games in, he’s already a 1/8 shot for the season’s Golden Boot, showing the level of scoring dominance from the big man. He looks a shoo-in for that if he stays healthy and as the season has only just begun, he is well on target for yet another record-breaking season.

Nicolas Jackson

One man who has had something to prove this season is Chelsea’s Nicolas Jackson. Chelsea made several big-money signings in the summer transfer window which appeared to put Jackson’s minutes in jeopardy.

However, the Senegalese forward has proved his doubters wrong scoring four goals and making three assists in the opening seven games of the campaign, supplementing Chelsea’s impressive start to the season.

He’s linked up brilliantly with Cole Palmer who has also begun proceedings this year impressively, Chelsea look a force to be reckoned with this season.

Jhon Durán

Jhon Durán is the only player in our list who hasn’t even started a Premier League game yet this season, but has proven quite the threat in front of goal regardless.

The Aston Villa forward has scored four goals so far coming off the bench and has established himself as one of the best strikers in the league despite being utilised solely off the bench. His talent would earn him a spot in the starting XI for most Premier League sides, showing the strength in depth that Aston Villa have in the forward areas with him and Ollie Watkins.

Kai Havertz

Another player who has proved his doubters wrong is Arsenal’s Kai Havertz. He’s never looked to have fully worked out where his best position is playing across midfield and attack, even appearing as a left back once for his national team!

He seems to have found it in his role up front for Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal who many cast doubt upon due to their lack of an out-and-out centre forward before the season begun, questioning where the goals were going to come from.

Havertz looks to have answered those doubts, making the position his own. Often dropping deeper to link play between midfield and his forward partners, he also has a keen eye for goal and is an aerial threat for Gunners, notching four goals so far this season.

Danny Welbeck

At 33, Danny Welbeck has been in the Premier League for over a decade now and still looks completely at the top of his game.

He never fulfilled the initial promise of his ability at Arsenal and Manchester United, but since joining Brighton has been a model professional of consistency which has continued into the 24/25 season.

Pre-season, it didn’t seem if Welbeck would play a big part in a Brighton team with other forwards waiting in the wings like Evan Ferguson, João Pedro and new signing Georginio Rutter. However, the Englishman has scored four goals already and looks at home spearheading the Brighton attack.
