Crystal Palace are another team with a rather new look for the upcoming Premier League season.
After the announcement that Roy Hodgson was leaving the Eagles, the main question on everyone’s lips was who was going to guide the south London club through the next campaign? Patrick Vieira was the man chosen and he’ll be looking to get Selhurst Park bouncing again.
Ahead of the 2021/22 Premier League campaign, we’ve taken a look at all you need to know about Crystal Palace – from their upcoming league fixtures, to the latest football betting odds for the club this term.
Who is the manager of Crystal Palace?
As mentioned above, the latest man to take the helm at Crystal Palace is Premier League legend Patrick Vieira. Vieira made a name for himself in a different part of London, being a pivotal part of Arsenal’s Invincible squad, with some Gunners fans believing that he has never been truly replaced in the squad to this day. Vieira most recently managed French Ligue 1 side Nice and this is his biggest job to date so all eyes will be on him to impress. He’s 5/1 to be the first manager to leave their post in the new season, sitting second in the market.
Who are Crystal Palace’s key players?
Crystal Palace have a few big names that are key to the way they play. Wilfried Zaha is the Eagles’ main man and is an attacking threat whenever he’s on the pitch. He’s played 393 times for Palace, scoring 68 goals and providing 72 assists. He’s been linked with big money moves away multiple times but for now he remains one of theirs. Eberechi Eze was another star man for Palace last season, always a danger driving forward and capable of popping up with a goal.
Where is Crystal Palace’s stadium?
Located in Croydon, south London, Selhurst Park was built in 1924 and is the home of Crystal Palace. Famous for its great atmosphere, the 25,486-seater stadium is filled with the passionate chants of Palace’s loyal following.
When is the next Crystal Palace Premier League game?
After Crystal Palace’s tough start to their new Premier League campaign, losing 3-0 against Chelsea, they host newly promoted team Brentford on August 21; another London derby. To round off the hat-trick of London derbies, they then travel to West Ham on August 28 for their third consecutive London derby.

What are the Crystal Palace odds to be relegated from the Premier League?
Winning the title won’t be on the minds of many Palace fans so it’s understandable that their odds of winning the Premier League are a long 750/1. Fans may be more than happy with a top half finish, which Palace are a much shorter 8/1 to achieve. However, to do so they’ll have to finish four places higher than they managed last season. A more realistic aim could be avoiding the drop as they are currently second favourites to be relegated this season at 11/10.
What are the odds that Crystal Palace win the next game?
Palace were understandably the underdogs in their opening fixture of the season against the ruthless spending machine that is Chelsea but failed to justify favouritism in their 0-0 draw, at home to Brentford. Palace fans will hope they can cause an upset at the London Stadium as they go into their match against West Ham as 5/1 underdogs. West ham are 6/10 favourites and a draw is currently 29/10.
What’s the latest Crystal Palace transfer and injury news?
Palace have dipped their hand in the Championship pool in hope to find another success story like Eberechi Eze. Vieira’s first signing since becoming manager at the south London club was to bring in highly rated forward Michael Olise from Reading. He was named last year’s EFL Young Player of the Season and seems as if he’s ready for the step up to the Premier League. Highly rated Arsenal starlet, Reiss Nelson looks like he might be the next addition to Vieira’s squad, on a year-long loan deal. Injured upon his arrival, Olise’s return from a lower back injury draws closer, however, Eze still remains sidelined.
