Goals Expected at Brighton, Burnley Chase a Shock, Everton v Chelsea Turns Cagey & Leeds Braced for Another Tight Night

Goals between Brighton and Liverpool look likely at 10/11, Burnley or Draw at 11/8 could be huge value, Under 2.5 goals at 19/20 between Everton and Chelsea looks appealing, as does a draw between Leeds and Brentford at 23/10 with William Hill.

@Footy_Tipster gives his best predictions ahead of this round of fixtures in the English Premier League..

Saturday’s Premier League action will get underway on the south coast, with Brighton welcoming Liverpool for the early kick-off.

At 3pm, Burnley will be looking for a much-needed three points when they travel to the capital to take on Fulham.

We then have two evening games, with Everton taking on Chelsea at the Hill Dickinson Stadium at 5.30pm, whilst Leeds United return to Elland Road against Brentford at 8pm in a huge game.

Now, let’s take a closer look at some Premier League odds and Premier League betting angles for Saturday’s fixtures:

Brighton v Liverpool – Saturday, 12.30pm

See the latest odds on this match.

  • Fabian Hurzeler has relieved some pressure in recent weeks and bounced back from their 1-0 defeat here against Arsenal with a 1-0 win of their own away at Sunderland on Saturday, a result which moved the Seagulls up to twelfth and just five points behind Brentford in seventh.
  • Brighton will be concerned though ahead of Saturday’s fixture given the fact they’ve won just won of their last five games on home soil, whilst they’ve only won one of their last eight games against sides in the top-five.
  • Despite just two of Brighton’s last eleven Premier League games producing three or more goals, this is a fixture that tends to give us goals with ten of the last twelve meetings between the two sides in all competitions producing over 2.5 goals, it’s 4/6 with William Hill for the same to occur in this one.
    ——————————–————————
  • Liverpool failed to make the most of Tottenham Hotspur’s struggled last weekend after taking just one of their seventeen shots at Anfield before conceding a late equaliser, a stalemate which leaves Arne Slot’s side two points off the top four.
  • However, the Reds made no mistake in their UEFA Champions League game against Galatasaray on Wednesday night, a 4-0 victory moved Liverpool into the UCL quarter-final stage, you can back Arne Slot’s side at 6/5 to continue their winning streak on Saturday.
  • The last four meetings here on the south coast have seen both teams find the back of the net, whilst Liverpool have won just one of their last five visits here, it’ll be tough but i’m backing the Reds to edge this one.

Prediction: Both Teams To Score & Over 2.5 Goals (10/11), Brighton 1-2 Liverpool (15/2).

Fulham v Burnley – Saturday, 3pm

See how the odds stack up across every market.

  • Fulham were dumped out of the FA Cup against EFL Championship side Southampton and followed that up with a goalless draw away at Nottingham Forest last week in the Premier League, it’s now three games without a win or a goal for Marco Silva’s side.
  • The Cottagers remain just four points behind their rivals Brentford in seventh but with just two wins from their last seven league outings, there’s definitely room for improvement and William Hill have the home side as the favourites for this at 11/20.
  • The signs are good for Fulham as they’ve lost just one of their last fourteen Premier League games against promoted sides (W8 D5), going down 1-0 at Leeds in January, whilst a win here would confirm a league double over Burnley for the first time since 1950/1951.
    ——————————–————————
  • Burnley’s goalless draw last weekend against Bournemouth made it eleven winless games on home turf in one season for the first time in the clubs history, with just eight games left to play and nine points from safety, time is running out for the Clarets.
  • Scott Parker’s side have failed to beat any of the sides currently in the top half of the table but they have a fantastic record here at Craven Cottage in recent years, they’ve won their last three visits without conceding, the leading bookmaker are offering a huge 9/1 on the Clarets to win to nil.
  • Burnley have kept just one clean sheet in their last forty-one Premier League away games, conceding in each of their last twenty-five since a 2-0 win at Fulham in December 2023, i’m going to stick my neck on the line a little here and back Burnley to upset the odds.

Prediction: Burnley or Draw – Double Chance (11/8), Over 2.5 Goals (3/4).

Everton v Chelsea – Saturday, 5.30pm

View all available markets at William Hill

  • Everton’s European dreams took a slight dent last weekend after a 2-0 defeat at the league leaders Arsenal but with eight games left to play, the Toffees are just two points behind seventh and only five points behind Saturday’s opponents Chelsea in sixth, this feels like a big game.
  • The Toffees return to home soil but despite a 2-0 victory in their last outing here against Burnley, David Moyes’ side have made a slow start at their new stadium having won just five of their fifteen league games here this season, you can back Everton to win on William Hill’s ‘2 up’ market at 21/10.
  • Everton have the chance to make it consecutive home victories this season whilst they’ve lost just one of their last eight Premier League home games against Chelsea (W5 D2), going down 1-0 in August 2022.
    ——————————–————————
  • Chelsea will be looking to bounce back from their horror show in the UEFA Champions League, a 3-0 defeat on Tuesday confirmed an 8-2 defeat on aggregate against current holders PSG, with the Blues now needing a top five finish to secure UCL football again next season.
  • It’s now three defeats in a row for Liam Rosenior’s side whilst they travel to Everton with just one Premier League win in their last five outings and have dropped down the table into sixth, the Blues are 11/10 to beat the Toffees with the leading bookmaker.
  • Just two of the last eleven meetings between these two sides have seen three or more goals, i’m not expecting too many goals at the Hill Dickinson Stadium whilst i don’t think we’ll see a lot between the two sides either.

Prediction: Under 2.5 Goals (19/20), Everton 1-1 Chelsea (11/2).

Leeds v Brentford – Saturday, 8pm

Think there’s value? See the current price at William Hill.

  • Without a win in their last five Premier League games, Leeds United are still looking over their shoulder in terms of the bottom three, the gap has closed to just three points now and there’s a really good chance Daniel Farke’s side could end up in a relegation battle.
  • The Whites return to Elland Road feeling frustrated having missed a penalty against Crystal Palace last weekend in London before going down to ten men in a crazy five minutes during the first half, Leeds United are 29/20 to win here on Saturday with William Hill.
  • Daniel Farke’s side have lost their last two league games here on home soil without scoring, if that trend continues here it’ll be the first time it’s happened in three games since 1997, this is a big game.
    ——————————–————————
  • It’s been an incredible season so far for Brentford under Keith Andrews, the Bees sit seventh in the Premier League as their European dreams are well and truly alive despite a 2-2 draw against Wolves on Monday night.
  • Brentford have lost just one of their last thirteen Premier League games against newly promoted opponents, whilst four of the last six meetings between the pair have ended in a draw, William Hill have the draw at 23/10.
  • Brentford have won five of their last seven top-flight away games although they haven’t won any of their last seven visits to this part of Yorkshire, with the reverse meeting ending in a 1-1 draw, more of the same here wouldn’t surprise me.

Prediction: Draw (23/10), Leeds 1-1 Brentford (5/1).
