Villa to Shut Out Sunderland at 13/8 as Forest 4/5 Result & 2+ Goals Adds Extra Value

William Hill News tipster @Footy_Tipster previews Sunday’s Premier League action from across the country.

Aston Villa v Sunderland Prediction: Aston Villa To Win To Nil (13/8), Aston Villa 2-0 Sunderland (6/1).

Nottingham Forest v Burnley Prediction: Match Result and 2 or More Goals in the Match – Nottingham Forest (4/5), Nottingham Forest 2-0 Burnley (13/2).

Sunday offers up some real mouth-watering encounters in the Premier League.

At 2pm, Aston Villa take on Sunderland at Villa Park, Nottingham Forest return to the City Ground looking for a big three points against Burnley, whilst Everton and Liverpool battle it out in the Merseyside derby.

At 4.30pm, there’s a real title showdown at the Etihad Stadium as Manchester City look to pile the pressure on Arsenal when the two sides go head-to-head.

Now, let’s take a closer look at some Premier League odds and Premier League betting angles for Sunday’s fixtures:

Aston Villa v Sunderland – Sunday, 2pm

Odds are moving – check the latest here.

  • Aston Villa’s fine form in Europe continued on Thursday night with a 4-0 victory here against Bologna in the UEFA Europa League, that’s now nine consecutive wins in the UEL whilst confirming a place in the semi-finals in the process.
  • The Villans played out a 1-1 draw last weekend which keeps them fourth only on goal-difference, victory here could see Unai Emery’s side move above Manchester United into third depending on their result at Chelsea, Villa are 13/20 favourites with William Hill to win here.
  • Aston Villa haven’t lost a Premier League game against a newly-promoted side under Unai Emery (W14, D5), whilst they’ve lost just one of their last thirteen games against Sunderland (W6, D6).
    ——————————–
  • Sunderland went into the recent international break in style having beat their arch-rivals Newcastle on their own turf and another three points last weekend against Tottenham Hotspur which keeps them in touching distance of the top seven, with the gap now at just one point.
  • If Régis Le Bris’ side can pick up a win on Sunday, it’ll be three consecutive wins in the English top-flight for the first time since 2014, punters can back the Black Cats to at a big 4/1 with William Hill.
  • Sunderland are one of three teams yet to lose a Premier League game they scored first in this season, so getting themselves in front could prove vital on Sunday, they had to come from behind in the reverse fixture to take a point with a 1-1 draw back in September.

Nottingham Forest v Burnley – Sunday, 2pm

View all Premier League odds and markets.

  • It’s been a good few weeks for Nottingham Forest, they’ve given themselves a 3 point cushion from the bottom three and secured their spot in the UEFA Europa League semi-finals on Thursday night with a 1-0 win here against Porto.
  • Vítor Pereira’s side have a huge opportunity here to extend the gap to the bottom three (depending on results elsewhere) given they face Burnley who have only managed to pick up twenty points thus far, the leading bookmaker have Nottingham Forest as the 1/2 favourites to win.
  • Nottingham Forest are unbeaten in their last four Premier League games (W1 D3), their joint-longest unbeaten run of the season, although they’ve won just one of their last eight league games against Burnley.
    ——————————–
  • Burnley look destined for the EFL Championship after suffering their twentieth defeat of the season last weekend, the Clarets are now twelve points from safety with just six games left to play.
  • Scott Parker’s side have picked up just one Premier League win in their last twenty-three attempts, whilst only Wolves have picked up fewer points (5) on the road than Burnley’s nine so far, possibly the reason why they are 5/1 with William Hill to win this.
  • Burnley will be looking to upset the betting odds on Sunday having lost just one of their last ten games against Nottingham Forest in all competitions, but this could be tricky for a side playing with such low confidence.
