Premier League Odds: Predictions For Sunday 22nd February

9/2 for a score draw at Selhurst Park, back Nottingham Forest or Draw against Liverpool at 19/20, whilst we could see a 1-1 stalemate in Sunderland at 5/1, all with William Hill.

@Footy_Tipster gives his best predictions ahead of this round of fixtures in the English Premier League..

Sunday afternoon in the Premier League will offer up four games across the country.

At 2pm, Crystal Palace will be desperate for three points when they welcome Wolves, Nottingham Forest start Premier League life under their fourth manager of the season when they take on Liverpool at the City Ground, whilst two sides still dreaming of Europe go head-to-head as Fulham make the trip north to Sunderland.

Later on Sunday, we’re in for a real treat as Tottenham and Arsenal meet in another north London derby.

Now, let’s take a closer look at some Premier League odds and Premier League betting angles for Sunday’s fixtures:

Crystal Palace v Wolves – Sunday, 2pm

Punters can bet on Crystal Palace v Wolves with William Hill

  • Crystal Palace are a side in freefall and following a 1-1 draw with Zrinjski on Thursday in the UEFA Europa Conference League, there’s rumours circulating right now that Oliver Glasner might not even be in charge of this game, with his own fans singing “You’re getting sacked in the morning” from the away end in Bosnia.
  • It’s no surprise really given the Eagles have won just one of their last fifteen games in all competitions, they’ve won just one of their last ten games on home soil whilst they’ve picked up just two Premier League wins here all season, they’ve scored exactly once in six of their last seven games, they are priced at 19/10 with William Hill to score just once again on Sunday.
  • Crystal Palace have a solid record against Wolves in the Premier League at home, having won their last five Premier League home meetings, it’s their longest winning run against an opponent in their top-flight history, while they last won six consecutive home league games (any division) against Walsall between 1977 and 2004.
    ——————————–————————
  • It’s definitely a case of ‘too little too late’ for Wolves in terms of Premier League survival but they are showing in real fight in recent weeks and in particular against the league leaders Arsenal on Wednesday night, coming from two goals behind to earn a point.
  • The Old Gold have lost just three of their last eleven games across all competitions, five of which have ended in stalemates, whilst we could see goals here if history is anything to go by as four of the last five competitive meetings have produced at least four goals, William Hill are 11/5 for Over 3.5 Goals on Sunday afternoon.
  • Wolves are winless in their last fifteen Premier League away games (D4 L11), and are the only side in England’s top four tiers without an away league win this season, they’ll be hoping they’ve caught this Palace team at the right time.

Prediction: Both Teams To Score & Draw (9/2), Crystal Palace 2-2 Wolves (16/1).

Nottingham Forest v Liverpool – Sunday, 2pm

Punters can bet on Nottingham Forest v Liverpool with William Hill

  • Nottingham Forest are in huge danger of returning to the EFL Championship and after a goalless draw against Wolves in their last Premier League outing, that was enough for the board to call time on Sean Dyche’s time in charge of the Tricky Trees.
  • Forest became the first team in Premier League history to have four managers in a single season after the appointment of Vitor Pereira, he got off to the perfect start away to Fenerbache in the UEFA Europa League on Thursday night with a 3-0 victory, the Tricky Trees are 29/10 to make it back-to-back wins under their new boss.
  • Following won 3-0 at Anfield in November under Dyche and will complete their first league double over Liverpool since 1962-63 with a victory here but they remain winless in their last five home league games.
    ——————————–————————
  • Liverpool became the only side so far this season to win away at Sunderland after their 1-0 victory in their last Premier League outing, whilst a 3-0 victory against Brighton in the FA Cup last weekend should add to the Reds’ confidence.
  • Arne Slot’s side are back on the road where they’ve won just three of their last eleven away games in the league (D3, L5) and a trip to the City Ground hasn’t been easy for Liverpool, they’ve  won just one of their last fifteen away league games against Nottingham Forest (D8 L6), beating them 1-0 in March 2024, William Hill have priced up Mohamed Salah 3+ Shots On Target at 6/1 on their Price Boost.
  • This one is a tough one to call, naturally you’d expect Liverpool to beat a struggling side but their record here isn’t great and a the ‘new manager bounce’ is in full swing for the home side, i’m going to back a score draw in this one.

Prediction: Nottingham Forest Or Draw (19/20), Nottingham Forest 1-1 Liverpool (11/2).

Sunderland v Fulham – Sunday, 2pm

Punters can bet on Sunderland v Fulham with William Hill

  • It’s been a tough couple of weeks for Sunderland having faced both Arsenal and Liverpool resulting in back-to-back defeats but a 1-0 victory away at Oxford in the FA Cup last weekend keeps Sunderland on track for a really solid season.
  • The Black Cats are still dreaming of a European spot as well, despite sitting eleventh in the English top-flight, they remain just four points off the top seven and returning to the Stadium of Light could be what they need to edge closer to those precious spots, having lost just one league game here all season, they are 17/10 with William Hill to win this meeting.
  • Sunderland have only failed to score in two of their thirteen Premier League home games this season, whilst five of their last six Premier League games have produced at least three or more goals.
    ——————————–————————
  • Fulham head to Sunderland with just one win in their last five Premier League outings, twelve of their last fifteen games in the league have been won by either side by just the one goal margin, including the reverse fixture (1-0).
  • The Cottagers have won just three of their thirteen away games in the Premier League this season but they did stop their away rot on Sunday with a 2-1 victory at Stoke in the FA Cup, you can back the same scoreline at 17/2 with William Hill.
  • Fulham lost 1-0 at Leeds in January, ending a twelve game unbeaten run against promoted teams in the Premier League (W7 D5). They last lost consecutive games against promoted teams in the same top-flight campaign in 2013-14

Prediction: Under 2.5 goals and 4-6 Cards (14/5), Sunderland 1-1 Fulham (5/1).
