@Footy_Tipster gives his best predictions ahead of this round of fixtures in the English Premier League..

We’re treated to three Premier League games on Sunday afternoon, Newcastle will make the long trip to the south coast to face Bournemouth, whilst Sunderland welcome Aston Villa to the Stadium of Light, both games with a kick-off time of 2pm.

Later on Sunday afternoon, we’re in for a treat from the Emirates Stadium, with two potential title contenders going head-to-head as Arsenal take on Manchester City in the Premier League.

You can view the Arsenal v Manchester City Bet Builder on William Hill News.

Now, let’s take a closer look at some Premier League odds and Premier League betting angles for Sunday’s fixture:

Bournemouth v Newcastle – Sunday, 2pm

Punters can bet on Bournemouth v Newcastle with William Hill

  • Bournemouth show no signs of slowing down after making their best ever start to a Premier League campaign, having won three of their four games thus far, another victory here would see them win four on the bounce for the first time since December 2023.
  • Andoni Iraola’s side should be full of confidence especially given their recent record against Newcastle, the Cherries are unbeaten in the last five meetings including an emphatic 4-1 victory in the North East back in January, a win here would secure consecutive victories against the Magpies for just the second time in their history.
  • The Cherries have seen just one of their last six Premier League home games produce at least three goals, whilst just two of the last seven meetings between these two sides have produced the same outcome.
    ——————————–
  • Newcastle United make the long trip on Sunday after their meeting with Barcelona in the UEFA Champions League on Thursday evening, a game in which the Magpies suffered a 2-1 defeat after a Marcus Rashford double for the European giants.
  • Eddie Howe returns to Bournemouth on Sunday and will be hoping his side can shake off that disappointing defeat on Thursday and move on swiftly, we often see sides playing midweek games in Europe struggle in their following game.
  • The Magpies have conceded in just one of their first four Premier League games whilst they’ve been pretty toothless in front of goal, they’ve scored more than once in just one of their last nine away games.

Prediction: Nick Woltemade To Score Assisted By Either Harvey Barnes or Anthony Elanga (#YourOdds), Bournemouth 1-1 Newcastle

Sunderland v Aston Villa – Sunday, 2pm

Punters can bet on Sunderland v Aston Villa with William Hill

  • It’s been a really encouraging start on their return to the Premier League for Sunderland, Regis Le Bris’ side sit in seventh ahead of Matchday five having taking seven points from a possible twelve (W2, D1, L1).
  • The Black Cats return to the Stadium Light where they’ve won both of their games so far in the English top-flight, another victory here on Sunday would see them win their opening three top-flight games on home soil for the first time since the 1965/1966 campaign.
  • However, history of this fixture is against Sunderland as they’ve won just one of their last twelve meetings against Aston Villa in all competitions, their last victory against Villa came here back in 2016.
    ——————————–
  • It’s been a terrible start for Aston Villa and they look so far off it in these early stages, they head to the Stadium of Light sitting nineteenth in the Premier League and looking for their first three points of the season. (D2, L2).
  • Unai Emery’s side are actually still looking for their first Premier League goal off the season, it’s now five top-flight games in which Villa have failed to score in, making it the clubs second-longest run in club history.
  • The good news for Villa is the fact they are unbeaten in their last fifteen games against promoted sides under Unai Emery (W12, D3), you just feel like things can only get better for Villa and therefore, I’m backing the Villans to sneak this one.

Prediction: Aston Villa To Win, Sunderland 0-1 Aston Villa
