Premier League Betting Tips for Tuesday 30th December
This midweek will see the Premier League get underway for Gameweek nineteen of this campaign, with the table starting to take shape and a few teams already upsetting the apple cart, we’re all set for another night of pure PL drama.
@Footy_Tipster gives his best predictions ahead of this round of fixtures in the English Premier League..
The Premier League returns for a midweek special with six games taking place on Tuesday night up and down the country.
At 7.30pm, two sides desperate for a win meet at Turf Moor with Burnley taking on Newcastle, Chelsea will be looking to bounce back when they face Bournemouth, Sean Dyche comes up against his old side once again as Nottingham Forest and Everton meet at the City Ground, whilst West Ham look for a huge three points when they welcome Brighton.
Later that evening (8.15pm), we have a mouth-watering encounter at the Emirates Stadium with Arsenal taking on high-flying Aston Villa, whilst Manchester United return to Old Trafford and welcome the bottom side Wolves.

Now, let’s take a closer look at some Premier League odds and Premier League betting angles for Tuesday’s fixtures:
Burnley v Newcastle – Tuesday, 7.30pm
Punters can bet on Burnley v Newcastle with William Hill
- Burnley picked up their twelfth point of the Premier League season on Saturday with a goalless draw here against Everton, that’s back-to-back stalemates for the Clarets as they remain in the bottom three, six points from safety at this halfway point.
- Scott Parker‘s side haven’t won any of their last five Premier League home games at Turf Moor (D1, L5) and have scored in just one of those five, with Scott Parker starting to feel the pressure and with just one win in their last five meetings in Lancashire against the Magpies, that pressure could build even more.
- Burnley have scored exactly once in all seven of their Premier League home games against Newcastle, though they’ve lost each of the last three since a 1-0 victory in December 2019, they lost the reverse fixture just over three weeks ago (2-1).
——————————–———————— - Newcastle’s poor form on the road continued on Friday night after losing 1-0 at Old Trafford against Manchester United, the Magpies will feel frustrated when you look at the starting eleven that Man United had playing before the final whistle.
- That’s now just one win in their first nine away games of this Premier League campaign, only the bottom side Wolves have won less. Eddie Howe will be hoping his side can put a stop to this poor away form having won each of the last seven PL meetings against Burnley.
- Newcastle manager Eddie Howe has won each of his last two away league matches against Burnley, a club he managed over a decade ago. No former Clarets boss has ever won three away in a row at Turf Moor.
Prediction: Both Teams To Score & Newcastle To Win, Burnley 1-2 Newcastle.
Chelsea v Bournemouth – Tuesday, 7.30pm
Punters can bet on Chelsea v Bournemouth with William Hill
- December has been a tough month for Chelsea who have won just two of their seven games so far, the drop in form was rubber stamped on Saturday night having lost 2-1 here against Aston Villa despite taking the lead just before the break.
- These two sides played out a goalless draw in the reverse fixture towards the start of the month on the south coast but the Blues have won two of the last three meetings here in West London against the Cherries.
- Chelsea lost 2-0 at Ipswich in their final league game of 2024. They’ve not lost their last league game in consecutive calendar years since 1990/1991, both times against Luton Town, Enzo Maresca will be hoping to continue that trend on Tuesday night.
——————————–———————— - It’s been a terrible few weeks for Bournemouth after an unbelievable start to the season seems to be a distant memory already, the Cherries enter Matchday nineteen just three places above the drop having not won any of their last nine Premier League games.
- It’s been a tough campaign already for Andoni Iraola’s side who travel back to West London on Tuesday night having lost 4-1 against Brentford in the area on Saturday, with Antoine Semenyo likely to leave the Cherries in January, they could really find themselves in a battle to stay in this division.
- Things don’t look as if they are going to improve either on Tuesday night if the history is anything to go by, Bournemouth have won their final league game in just one of the last seven calendar years (D1 L5), beating Cardiff City 3-0 in December 2021.
Prediction: Both Teams To Score & Chelsea To Win, Chelsea 2-1 Bournemouth.
Nottingham Forest v Everton – Tuesday, 7.30pm
Punters can bet on Nottingham Forest v Everton with William Hill
- Nottingham Forest headed into Christmas seeing their two game winning streak come to an end after a poor performance away at Fulham before losing here at the City Ground to Manchester City on Saturday.
- Saturday’s defeat was the first time the Tricky Trees had lost consecutive games under new boss Sean Dyche, they return to the City Ground on Saturday where they’ve lost just two of their seven games here under Dyche (W4, D1) and looking for revenge, having lost 3-0 in the reverse fixture just over three weeks ago.
- The Toffees are a bit of a bogey-team for Nottingham Forest, since returning to the Premier League, Nottingham Forest have won just one of their seven matches against Everton (D2 L4), a 2-0 away win in December 2024, they haven’t won a league meeting against Everton at home since 1995.
——————————–———————— - Everton ended their two-game losing streak on Saturday but they could only manage a point at Turf Moor against a struggling Burnley side, a goalless draw will leave the Toffees a little bit disappointed given the circumstances.
- With these two sides meeting earlier in the month, this is just the second time Everton have faced an opponent twice in the same month in the Premier League, previously losing at home and drawing away against Aston Villa in May 2021.
- I’m not expecting too many goals in this one, Everton have seen just two of their nine Premier League games this season produce over two goals, whilst the reverse fixture was the first time in the last five meetings we’ve had three goals scored.
Prediction: Draw, Nottingham Forest 1-1 Everton.
West Ham v Brighton – Tuesday, 7.30pm
Punters can bet on West Ham v Brighton with William Hill
- West Ham are a side in real danger, without a win in their last seven games following defeat here against Fulham on Saturday, the Hammers are slowly slipping closer and closer to relegation, they now sit five points from safety at the halfway point.
- The Hammers have seen both teams score in five of their nine home games in the league so far, whilst six of the last seven meetings against Brighton in the capital have all ended in a stalemate, only Burnley have ever faced an opponent more at home without ever winning in the competition.
- West Ham have lost 11 Premier League home games in 2025, with only Wolves losing more (12). It’s the Hammers’ joint-most home defeats in a calendar year in their league history (also 11 in 1967).
——————————–———————— - Having put together a four game unbeaten run in November, Brighton have struggled so far in December as they look for their first win of the month, having drawn two and lost three, most recently a 2-1 defeat at Arsenal on Saturday afternoon.
- December always tends to be difficult for the Seagulls, they are winless in their last eleven Premier League games in December (D6 L5) since beating Spurs 4-2 in 2023. In fact, only in April (19.4%) do they have a lower win rate in the Premier League than they do in December (20.8%).
- These two sides played out a 1-1 draw in the reverse fixture earlier this month and something along those lines wouldn’t surprise me here, especially given nine of the last seventeen meetings have ended up with both sides taking a point.
Prediction: Draw, West Ham 1-1 Brighton.
Manchester United v Wolves – Tuesday, 8.15pm
Punters can bet on Manchester United v Wolves with William Hill
- Manchester United made no mistake against Newcastle on Friday night and return back to Old Trafford outside the top five only via goal-difference, they’ve lost just two of their first nine Premier League games on home soil, they’d be expected to win this one.
- Ruben Amorim’s side won the reverse fixture a few weeks ago in style with a 4-1 win away from home but they’ll be cautious of the fact that Wolves actually won the last time they visited Old Trafford, a 1-0 win back in April against the odds.
- Manchester United kept just their second Premier League clean sheet of the season against Newcastle last time out. They last recorded a shutout in consecutive league games in September 2024 under Erik ten Hag.
——————————–———————— - Wolves sit bottom of the Premier League table and remain the only side that are still yet to pick up three points so far, with the Old Gold now sixteen points from safety, it’s almost certain they’ll be returning to the EFL Championship next season.
- This Wolves side are winless in their last twenty-two games in the league and a 2-1 defeat at Liverpool made it six defeats in a row away from home. The odds are heavily stacked against Rob Edwards side for this one but their last away victory came here, a good omen?
- Wolves have lost 25 Premier League games in 2025 – a defeat here would equal the most losses suffered by a club in a calendar year in the competition, i think they could find themselves on the scoresheet but United should have more than enough to take victory.
Prediction: Both Teams To Score & Manchester United To Win, Manchester United 3-1 Wolves.
