Premier League Betting Preview: Last chance saloon for Burnley & Luton

| BY News Team

Nottingham Forest’s win at Sheffield Utd last weekend moved them closer to safety and pushed Burnley and Luton closer to relegation from the Premier League.

The penultimate weekend of the season could see the Clarets and Hatters both relegated. While at the top, Man City and Arsenal are both away from home as they slug it out for the title.

City travel to Fulham in the weekend’s opening game, while Arsenal visit Man Utd on Sunday afternoon. Liverpool, who are not mathematically out of the title race yet, travel to Aston Villa on Monday evening.

As always, we’ll have great offers on all the action, Nicole Holliday’s picks and Enhanced Odds. And, if you’ve not used it already, don’t forget your Epic Boost is available before you get a new one on Sunday.

So, let’s look at three of the games in the Premier League this weekend…

West Ham v Luton – Saturday @ 15:00

This is it for Luton. They need to better Nottingham Forest’s result against Chelsea to have any chance of staying in the top flight. Can they take it to the final weekend?

West Ham are their hosts in what will be David Moyes’ last home game in charge. The Hammers are four games without a win in the league and were thrashed 5-0 by Chelsea last weekend.

Here are some top bets for West Ham v Luton:

West Ham to win & BTTS – 19/10

  • The Hammers are unbeaten in their last 10 Premier League games against promoted sides (W8 D2). At home, they’ve won six of their last seven such games.
  • Luton have won one of their last 15 Premier League games (D4 L10).
  • West Ham have not kept a clean sheet in their last 16 league games, a run that stretches back to 2nd
  • The Hatters have both scored and conceded in 29 of their 36 Premier League games this season.
  • West Ham haven’t lost their final home league match in any of the last six seasons (W4 D2)

Jarrod Bowen to score a header – 12/1

  • Bowen is West Ham’s leading goalscorer this season with 16.
  • Six of his last seven league goals have come at London Stadium.
  • No player has scored more headed goals in the Premier League this season than Bowen (5).

Luton to win and Adebayo to score first – 10/1

  • West Ham are winless in four league games, conceding 14 goals in that run.
  • Adebayo has scored five goals in his last five league games.
  • Of all players to score 10+ goals in the competition this term, only Chris Wood (42%) has scored a higher share with his head than Adebayo (40% – 4/10).

Nottingham Forest v Chelsea – Saturday @ 17:30

Can Nottingham Forest belie their points deduction and secure their Premier League status for another year with a win over Chelsea? They start the weekend three points above Luton, with a much better goal difference.

Who knows which Chelsea side will show up at the City Ground? Mauricio Pochettino’s side have scored seven goals without conceding in their last two league games, but they were also hammered 5-0 by Arsenal recently. A top-six place is still not out of reach for the Blues.

Here are some top bets for Forest v Chelsea:

Forest to win to nil – 11/2

  • Forest are looking to complete their first league double over Chelsea since 1978/79, when they were reigning top-flight champions under Brian Clough.
  • Chelsea have won just two of their last 10 away league games against Forest (D4 L4).
  • The Blues are winless in their last five away from home (D4 L1).
  • Chelsea have failed to keep a clean sheet in any of their last 14 Premier League away games.

Nicolas Jackson to score first goal – 11/2

  • Jackson has 13 league goals this season, including three in his last three.
  • The striker has been involved in six goals in his last five league games (4 goals, 2 assists).

Cole Palmer to assist a goal – 16/5

  • Palmer has been involved in 30 Premier League goals this season, scoring 21 and assisting nine.
  • The last Chelsea player to be involved in more was Eden Hazard in 2018/19 (31 – 16 goals, 15 assists).
  • Seven of Palmer’s nine assists have come in away games.

Man Utd v Arsenal – Sunday @ 16:30

With two games to go, Arsenal sit top of the table with a one-point advantage over Man City. They could find themselves second at kick-off if City beat Fulham on Saturday lunchtime but could open up a four-point lead should City slip up at Craven Cottage.

Man Utd’s season is limping to the finish, with pressure building on Erik ten Hag after their 4-0 humbling at Crystal Palace on Monday. Like Chelsea, the Red Devils are still in the hunt for a top-six place ahead of Arsenal’s visit.

Here are some top bets for Man Utd v Arsenal:

Man Utd to win and BTTS – 9/1

  • United have won 10 of their last 16 Premier League home games against Arsenal (D5 L1)
  • Arsenal have found the net in each of their last nine league visits to Old Trafford.
  • The Gunners have lost their final away league game in three of their four previous seasons under Mikel Arteta.
  • United have conceded 81 goals in all competitions this season, last conceding more in a single campaign back in 1970/71 (82).

Arsenal to have over 10 shots on target – 3/1

  • Man Utd have conceded 17.7 shots per game in the Premier League this season. Only Sheffield Utd have faced more (17.9).
  • Arsenal are averaging 17.2 shots per game in 2023/24.
  • The Gunners had nine efforts on target in last weekend’s 3-0 win over Bournemouth.

Marcus Rashford & Bukayo Saka to score – 10/1 with Build #YourOdds

  • Rashford has been involved in six goals in his last four Premier League starts against Arsenal, scoring four and assisting two.
  • Bukayo Saka has been involved in five Premier League goals against Man Utd (3 goals, 2 assists).
  • Saka has registered a goal (3) or assist (1) in each of his last four against the Red Devils.
