Lee Phelps’ Premier League Picks: Son and Salah among the goals

| BY News Team

With the Premier League in full swing and the league table starting to take shape, William Hill spokeperson Lee Phelps gives his insight on the best bets for this week’s Premier League action.

We seem to be saying this a lot lately, but favourite backers have had a field day this week. Even when Man City lose, no-one was really backing them!

The weekend looks treacherous for traders at William Hill towers too, with a Saturday six-timer paying over 7/1. It’s Arsenal, Everton, Manchester United, Newcastle, West Ham and Man City all to win.

We’ll focus on the games before and after those 3 o’clock kick-offs for specific bets.

Score draw on the cards at Villa Park

Villa and Brighton are two of the in-form sides in the league and this is a pick ‘em with both sides around the 6/4 mark at the time of writing. You can see why, with the Midlands’ side defensively resolute and the South Coast outfit free-scoring. So what gives? In my view nothing, I think they cancel each other out. The draw is the biggest price of the three and with some weary legs after the European games and midweek League Cup losses, they’ll probably both settle for it. If you add both teams to score to the draw it’s over 3/1.

Son and Salah to stay on scoring streak

The tests just keep on coming for Ange Postecoglou’s Spurs team. An admirable draw at Arsenal and now a Liverpool side who no-one seems to be talking about. Tottenham fans aren’t getting carried away, yet! If they don’t get beat in this one, he equals Antonio Conte’s record of seven unbeaten at the start of a Premier league campaign and we know how that ended.

Klopp has a great record against Spurs, losing one in 18 against them, with six draws. 14 of those have seen both teams score and that is how I’ve been playing Liverpool this season. Six of their eight games in all comps have seen them win with both getting a goal. Can they win at Spurs? I’m not sure. But what I do like is Son and Salah to score using the Build #YourOdds bet builder at 6/1.
