It’s here, the final day of this Premier League campaign will take place on Sunday, with the main talking question being, who will secure UEFA Champions League football next season with a top five finish? It’s still all to play for.

The final day of the Premier League season has thrown up a cracker, with Nottingham Forest (7th) and Chelsea (5th) both fighting for a UEFA Champions League position with only one point separating the two sides, this should be fun.

Now, let’s take a closer look at some football betting angles for Sunday’s Premier League fixture:

Nottingham Forest v Chelsea – Sunday, 4pm

  • Nottingham Forest should be happy that they’ve secured European football at the City Ground next season for the first time in 30 years but you feel if they manage just a Conference League spot after the season they’ve had, they’ll feel a little disappointed.
  • Nuno Espirito Santos’ side have just hit a rough patch at the wrong time, their 2-1 victory at West Ham on Sunday was just their second league victory in their last seven outings, they could have had this all sealed up prior to the final game of the season.
  • Only three points would be enough for Forest to claim a top five spot but they might find it tough here if you look at the history of this fixture, they’ve beaten Chelsea just once in their last twelve meetings across all competitions, whilst they picked up a point in the reverse fixture back in October.
    ——————————–
  • Chelsea have got a UEFA Conference League final on the horizon as they meet Real Betis in Poland on Wednesday, victory there would secure a Europa League spot but Enzo Maresca’s side will be wanting more, a point could be enough here but if Aston Villa also fail to win.
  • The Blues have found some decent form in the last few weeks, their 1-0 victory against Manchester United on Friday evening means it’s now six wins in their last seven games across all competitions, although they’ve won just seven of their eighteen away games in the Premier League thus far.
  • Chelsea might find themselves hoping a draw is enough at the City Ground if their recent away form is anything to go by, having won just one of their last nine games away from home in the league. (W1, D3, L6).
