Premier League Betting Preview: A big weekend for Arsenal

| BY News Team

Part two of MW21 gets underway on Saturday, with the teams who enjoyed a break last weekend in action.

That includes leaders Liverpool, who can move five points clear with a win at Bournemouth on Sunday.

Arsenal v Crystal Palace kicks off the weekend, with the Gunners hoping to get back to winning ways after three successive defeats (all comps).

As always, we’ll have great offers on all the action, including Epic Odds, Nicole Holliday’s picks and much more. And don’t forget, your Epic Boost will refresh on Sunday morning.

To get you ready, let’s look at three of this week’s Premier League matches…

Arsenal v Crystal Palace

Emirates Stadium

Saturday, 20th January @ 12:30

Arsenal’s season is in danger of falling apart after only one win in their last five league games (D1 L3). The Gunners are now clinging on to a top-four spot and have fallen five points behind Liverpool.

So, the pressure is on Mikel Arteta’s side to get back to winning ways when Crystal Palace visit the Emirates on Saturday lunchtime. They’re odds-on to get the job done, while Palace are 17/2 to extend Arsenal’s poor form.

Arsenal have won the last three meetings with Palace, scoring seven goals and only conceding once. Meanwhile, away from home in London derbies, the Eagles have only won one of their last 17.

Late goals could be one to look out for in this one. Only Liverpool (17) and Luton (14) have scored more goals in the final 15 minutes of games this season than Arsenal (11). Plus, Palace have conceded 11 in the same section of matches. Get 6/5 on the Gunners netting between the 76th minute and full-time.

Bukayo Saka scored twice against Palace at the Emirates last season. He’s 2/1 to score in a Gunners’ win. Saka has been involved in 15 goals in his last 18 London derbies in the league (six goals, nine assists).

With Michael Olise an injury doubt, a lot will fall on the shoulders of Eberechi Eze. The England forward provided a goal threat in Palace’s win over Brentford – having two shots on target. That was the third time he has done that in his last six appearances. Get 11/2 on Eze having over one shot on target against Arsenal.

Bournemouth v Liverpool

Vitality Stadium

Sunday 21st January @ 16:30

Liverpool travel to the south coast unbeaten in 13 Premier League games and eyeing the chance to restore their five-point cushion at the top of the table.

The Reds have won eight of their last nine meetings with Bournemouth and are looking for a fourth successive victory on the road. It’s 10/1 they win this one 1-0 or 2-0.

However, they have had to come from behind a lot, rescuing more points from losing positions than any other Premier League side (19). Twelve of those have come away from home. Get 7/1 on Bournemouth to lead at half-time and not win.

Dominic Solanke could be the man to fire Bournemouth in front against his former club. The striker has scored in each of his last three home league games. He’s 5/1 to net the opener and 8/5 to score at any time.

With Mohamed Salah away with Egypt, Liverpool will hope Darwin Nunez can lead their charge. The Uruguayan netted against Bournemouth in the League Cup in November. He’s 11/8 to score in this one. Nunez needs one goal to reach 100 in his career (club and country).

Brighton v Wolves

Amex Stadium

Monday, 22nd January @ 19:45

This round of games wraps up at the Amex Stadium as Brighton host Wolves on Monday night. The Seagulls are 2/1 to win and both teams to score.

Brighton have a great recent record against Wolves, winning the last four meetings and scoring 16 goals in the process. Brighton to score in both halves of this one is 29/20.

If you fancy Danny Welbeck to set them on their way, it’s 11/2 he nets the opener. Welbeck loves playing Wolves. In eight Premier League starts against them, the striker has had six goal involvements (four goals and two assists)

Wolves are a team in form, though. They’ve won their last three in the league and are 8/1 to win with Matheus Cunha scoring. Cunha has four goals and four assists in his last nine league games. It was his extra-time penalty that saw Wolves reach the FA Cup fourth round in midweek.

Fans of cards may want to take a look at Mario Lemina. The Wolves midfielder has been booked seven times (most for Wolves), including three times in his last six. It’s 15/8 on Lemina going into the book.
