Premier League tips

Brentford v Manchester City – Tuesday, 7.30pm

The Brentford Community Stadium is the venue for this one as Brentford take on Manchester City in the Premier League on Tuesday evening. – Bet with William Hill.

The one real positive for Brentford this season was their home record. However, that’s all gone wrong in recent weeks with three consecutive defeats in West London, Plymouth were the latest side to pile misery onto Thomas Frank with a victory in the FA Cup on Saturday that defied the betting odds. With just the Premier League to focus on now for the Bees, they’ll be hoping they can finish within the top half of the table, after finishing sixteenth last season.

Manchester City made a bit of club history on Saturday evening, Pep Guardiola’s side beat their neighbours Salford City 8-0 in the FA Cup, their joint-second highest ever victory for the club. That victory follows on from wins against Leicester City and West Ham, meaning another win here would make it four victories in a row for the first time since October for Man City. We could be seeing Manchester City turn a corner but this is another real test for Pep and co, taking all three points in West London could see the Blues move back into the top four.

Just one win in their last nine away trips for Man City but that did come in their last outing. Brentford have seen both teams hit the back of the net in nine of their ten home games in the league (90%), whilst the same has occurred in 70% of City PL away games, I think we’ll see the same here on Tuesday night.

Prediction: Both Teams To Score & Away Win, Brentford 1-3 Man City.

Chelsea v AFC Bournemouth – Tuesday, 7.30pm

Premier League football will return to Stamford Bridge for the first time in 2025, as Chelsea take on Bournemouth on Tuesday night.

Chelsea booked their place in the next round of the FA Cup on Saturday afternoon at the hands of League Two side Morecambe, the Blues made no mistake with a 5-0 victory. However, Enzo Maresca will be looking for an improved performance from his Premier League side, without a win in their last four PL games, Chelsea now sit fourth and ten points off the league-leaders Liverpool. Despite losing just twice on home soil, the Blues are tenth in terms of their home record, with just four wins from nine.

It’s been a brilliant first half of the campaign for Bournemouth. Let’s not forget how close the Cherries were to parting ways with Andoni Iraola last season but he’s now repaying that trust from the Bournemouth board. They head to West London off the back of an impressive 5-1 victory over West Brom in the FA Cup on Saturday, they’ve not lost in their last four PL games on the road, avoiding defeat here would make it five PL away games unbeaten for the first time since 2016, whilst a victory could see the Cherries move into the top five, depending on results elsewhere.

Chelsea are unbeaten against Bournemouth in their last six meetings, they won the reverse fixture 1-0 back in September with a late goal. It’s worth noting that Chelsea have conceded in all but one of their PL home games, whilst Bournemouth have scored in eight of their ten away games so far.

Prediction: Both Teams To Score & Home Win, Chelsea 2-1 Bournemouth.

West Ham v Fulham – Tuesday, 7.30pm

An all-London affair on Tuesday night in the Premier League, as West Ham United welcome Fulham in the Premier League.

It’s been all change for West Ham United since their last Premier League outing, Graham Potter is now the man in charge of the Hammers as they look to climb the table. Having not had much time with his players, a visit to Aston Villa in the FA Cup was always going to be difficult but despite a 2-1 defeat, Potter said he was encouraged by his sides performance but following a Niclas Fullkrug injury, he’s now without three of his main strikers for this fixture.

Fulham played their FA Cup fixture on Thursday evening, they beat Championship side Watford 4-1 at Craven Cottage to move them into the next round. Marco Silva will be a little disappointed with his side’s performances in the Premier League, their 2-1 victory away to rivals Chelsea was followed up with back-to-back draws, including a 2-2 stalemate with struggling Ipswich. Despite being one of the draw specialists in the league so far this season, the Cottagers sit ninth ahead of their visit to East London, giving themselves a real chance of challenging for a Conference League spot.

West Ham have won five of their last six meetings here against Fulham, their biggest concern will be where the goals will come in this one following their injuries up top. Fulham have drawn three of their last five away games in the Premier League.

Prediction: Draw.

Nottingham Forest v Liverpool – Tuesday, 8pm

Liverpool will be looking to get revenge on Nottingham Forest, as the two sides meet again on Tuesday night in the Premier League at the City Ground. – Bet with William Hill for this Premier League clash.

Nottingham Forest remain the only side in the Premier League that have beaten Arne Slot’s side so far, Nuno Espirito Santo’s side defied the odds at Anfield and took all three points back in September. It’s simply remarkable what is happening with Forest right now, the Tricky Trees find themselves in the top three and after six victories on the bounce, they’ve got a chance to equal their longest winning league run. There’s talk about Nottingham Forest playing in Europe next season but everybody at the club states they are taking it game by game, which is the correct thing to do.

Liverpool remain top of the league despite three stalemates in their last six Premier League outings, the Reds suffered a 1-0 defeat in the EFL Cup semi-final first leg against Tottenham last week but put things right with a 4-0 victory against Accrington Stanley in the FA Cup on Saturday afternoon. A victory here at the City Ground would stamp Liverpool’s authority on the Premier League and just build a little more confidence in camp following on from some under-par performances.

This is a really intriguing game given the season Forest are having, four of the last six meetings have ended 1-0 either way, I wouldn’t be surprised to see something similar here. Mo Salah tops the goalscoring table in the Premier League with eighteen.

Prediction: Liverpool 1-0, Mo Salah to score first.
