Premier League Preview: Who you got this weekend?

| BY News Team

Last weekend was a thriller in the Premier League with goals aplenty, gripping drama and some seriously good finishing. Ready for MW7?

Two in-form sides kick off the weekend as Aston Villa host Brighton on Saturday lunchtime. The Seagulls would go joint-top with a win – albeit potentially only for a few hours until Man City face Wolves at Molineux.

Look out for great offers on all sports across the weekend, including Top Price Guarantees, Double #YourOdds and much more. Plus, your Epic Boost will be refreshed on Sunday morning ahead of Nottingham Forest v Brentford.

To get you ready for the footy, let’s take a look at three of the standout Premier League fixtures…

Aston Villa v Brighton

Villa Park

Saturday, 30th September @ 12:30

First up is a mouth-watering clash at Villa Park between two sides riding the crest of a wave at the minute. Aston Villa are on a run of nine consecutive home league wins heading into this one. While Brighton are eyeing top spot. It’s 7/5 on a home win, while the Seagulls are 8/5.

You can also get our latest Epic Odds on this game. It’s EVS (was 1/2) that Brighton forward Kaoru Mitoma has a shot on target. Mitoma scored with both his efforts on goal after coming on as a half-time sub against Bournemouth last weekend.

Last season saw Villa do the double over Brighton, winning both games 2-1. In fact, they’ve scored twice in each of the last four meetings between the sides. Get 23/10 on two Villa goals in this one.

Ollie Watkins loves facing Brighton. The Villa striker, who opened his account for this season at Chelsea last Sunday, has netted in his last three appearances against the Seagulls. We’ve got 11/2 on Watkins opening the scoring.

Spurs v Liverpool

Tottenham Hotspur Stadium

Saturday, 30th September @ 17:30

The Tottenham Hotspur Stadium hosts the biggest game of the weekend as Liverpool visit north London. Spurs have only won one of their last 21 league games against the Reds (D6 L14). They’re 9/5 to pick up three points, while a Liverpool win is 6/5.

You can get EVS on Spurs to take the lead in this one. Liverpool have conceded first in each of their last two Premier League away games and have only kept two clean sheets in 15 meetings with Spurs.

Mohamed Salah and Son Heung-min both scored last weekend and they will be confident of continuing their scoring runs given their records against the opposition.

Son has scored in four of the last five meetings between the sides, while Salah has eight in 13 against Spurs – including three in last season’s two matches. Both men are 13/8 to net at any time.

Fulham v Chelsea

Craven Cottage

Monday, 2nd October @ 20:00

The pressure is building on Mauricio Pochettino at Chelsea after last weekend’s defeat to Aston Villa. But Wednesday’s EFL Cup win over Brighton will have eased some of the pressure. However, another poor league result against local rivals Fulham could see him in real trouble. Pochettino is 14/1 to be the next Premier League manager to be sacked.

Chelsea’s record against Fulham in the Premier League is excellent, though (W19 D11 L2). And they are EVS to get back to winning ways.

However, Fulham took four points off the Blues last season, the most they’ve taken off them in a single Premier League season. It’s 6/1 Fulham win with both teams scoring.

You can get 10/3 on no Chelsea goals. The Blues have gone 285 minutes without a goal in the Premier League and have failed to score in more top-flight matches than any other side in 2023 (13). Added to that is the fact that forward Nicolas Jackson, who scored the winner in midweek, is suspended for this one.
