Hearts Continue To Shorten For William Hill Scottish Premiership Title
Hearts’ odds to win the William Hill Scottish Premiership continue to shorten, but can the Edinburgh side lift the title for the first time since 1960?
Following their 3-1 victory over Celtic at the weekend, Hearts are now 11/8 at William Hill for the title, with Celtic drifting again to 4/6 in the current sports betting markets.
Hearts had been 5/2 before the weekend, with Celtic 2/7, but the gap in the betting is getting narrower each week. Meanwhile, the points discrepancy at the top of the table gets wider and wider, with Hearts now eight points clear of the Glasgow giants.
Derek McInnes’ side were a big price for the title at the start of the season, with William Hill laying bets on them to win the league at odds of 28/1, 25/1 and 20/1.

Spokesperson for William Hill, Lee Phelps, said: “Hearts are showing no signs of slowing down in their pursuit of the William Hill Premiership title and we are continuing to cut their odds in the outright market.
“Their victory over Celtic at the weekend put them eight points clear at the top and saw us clip them from 5/2 into 11/8 for the title, while Celtic’s odds have drifted from 2/7 to 4/6.
“We left ourselves open at the start of the campaign, laying bets on Hearts to win the league at odds of 28/1, 25/1 and 20/1, with one shrewd punter having £500 on them to win the league at 20/1, a bet which looks more impressive with each passing week.”
