Next Rangers Manager Odds SUSPENDED As Danny Rohl Lands In Glasgow

Betting has been suspended on the next Rangers manager, with reports suggesting that Danny Rohl is set to take over at Ibrox in the coming days.
Less than one week after the German, most recently in charge as manager of Sheffield Wednesday, ruled himself out of the running for the job, it looks like Rohl will take over at the helm.
With Kevin Muscat’s proposed takeover collapsing at a late stage, Rohl is now in pole position for the Ibrox job and he has reportedly landed in Glasgow to dot the i’s and cross the t’s.
Rangers have approached several candidates for the role, having opted to part ways with former manager Russell Martin after just 17 games in charge of the club.
Martin was dismissed on October 5th 2025 with Rangers languishing in eighth position in the William Hill Scottish Premiership table. They were nine points behind defending champions and arch rivals Celtic, with a further two points adrift of early leaders Hearts.
Next Permanent Rangers Manager Odds:
Prior to betting being suspended, this was the current state of the next Rangers manager market at William Hill:
- Danny Rohl – 1/2
- Ole Gunnar Solskjaer – 5/1
- Steven Gerrard – 12/1
- Kevin Muscat – 18/1
- Bar – 20/1
Rangers have failed to qualify for the 2025/26 Champions League and Martin led the club to successive defeats in their opening two Europa League fixtures of the campaign.
Now sixth in the domestic table, Rangers face Brann in the Europa League on Thursday and football betting punters will be expecting another difficult night for the Glasgow side.
Spokesperson for William Hill, Lee Phelps, said: “The Rangers next manager saga rumbles on, with Danny Rohl now heading the betting to replace Russell Martin.
“Last week, Kevin Muscat looked to be closing in on securing a deal to step into the Ibrox dugout, but with those talks having collapsed, ex-Sheffield Wednesday boss Rohl is the frontrunner.
“A turbulent market sees Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as our 5/1 second-favourite, with Steven Gerrard – who, like Rohl, had previously withdrawn from the race – priced at 12/1. Muscat has gone out to 18/1.”
