| BY News Team

Following the weekend’s results in the William Hill Premiership, Celtic are the new favourites for the title with the sponsors.

The Bhoys were victorious against Motherwell, seeing their price cut from 15/8 to 21/20, and them return to the top of the betting. Old Firm rivals Rangers also won, seeing their price cut to 5/2 from 3/1.

Despite still leading the way in the William Hill Premiership, Hearts lost their weekend fixture to Kilmarnock and with it their favourite’s status, drifting out to 2/1 from 11/10.

  • Celtic – 21/20
  • Hearts – 2/1
  • Rangers – 5/2
  • BAR – 66/1

Spokesperson for William Hill, Lee Phelps, said: “In one of the most competitive title races we’ve seen for years in Scottish football, the William Hill Premiership outright betting has seen yet another shift after Celtic and Rangers were victorious this weekend while leaders Hearts faltered.

“Celtic are now favourites at 21/20, having been 15/8 prior to the weekend’s fixture, whilst Rangers have also shortened slightly from 3/1 to 5/2.

“Hearts are still top but will have to rediscover their winning form after a 1-0 loss to Kilmarnock, and after that result at Rugby Park they’ve drifted from 11/10 favourites to 2/1.”
