Next Celtic Manager Odds After Wilfried Nancy Departure
Martin O’Neill has been installed as favourite to be the next permanent Celtic manager with William Hill following Wilfried Nancy’s sacking on Monday afternoon.
O’Neill impressed on his return to the Hoops’ dugout on an interim basis with seven wins from eight games, before Nancy’s doomed spell which saw six defeats from eight matches in all competitions.
Parkhead favourite O’Neill is 6/4 to make a permanent return to the William Hill Premiership champions, ahead of ex-Bhoys winger Shaun Maloney (5/2) and Aussie coach Ange Postecoglou (4/1).
It was a manic Monday for managers as Manchester United also parted ways with Ruben Amorim, and several figures are in the betting for both the Old Trafford gig and the Celtic Park job.

“O’Neill was in contention for the position following Brendan Rodgers’ exit in October, and is once again in the running for a permanent return to the dugout for the William Hill Premiership giants.
“Nancy fought off competition from the likes of Ange Postecoglou, Kieran McKenna and Robbie Keane to land the role last month, and all those names are back in the hat, with Shaun Maloney (5/2) being O’Neill’s closest challenger.”
With the 2025/26 William Hill Premiership title fight heating up, all eyes will be on Parkhead as Celtic consider their next move. Hearts are clear at the top of the table but – with the right man at the helm – Celtic will fancy their chances of getting back to the summit.
