We’re set for a bumper Saturday of football this weekend and our Super Odds Saturday 3pm Treble this week focuses on two Premier League clashes and one game from the Championship, with Arsenal, Southampton and West Brom all tipped to win. You can get enhanced odds of 7/1, from 4/1, and can bet up to £5.
Read on for our previews of the three games.
Arsenal vs West Ham
Things had been going well for Arsenal in 2020 up until last week’s crushing Europa League exit at the hands of Olympiacos. Their first defeat of the year had left Gunners fans feeling like there was little left to play for this season, but with Mikel Arteta’s side eight points off the top four, and given the inconsistency of teams around them this term, a Champions League spot perhaps isn’t quite out of the equation just yet.
Defeat at home to West Ham and it probably will be, but Arsenal will be confident of making it three Premier League victories on the bounce after returning to winning ways in the FA Cup against Portsmouth on Monday. It’s arguably the worst time to be playing the Hammers, who come into this one off the back of an impressive 3-1 win over Southampton last time out – their first victory in nine attempts – to lift them out of the relegation zone. It will be tight, but Arsenal should edge it with home advantage at the Emirates.
Southampton vs Newcastle
Talking of Southampton, they’ve had a somewhat inconsistent time of late. After a brilliant spell that saw them climb out of the relegation zone, they’ve since won two but lost four of their last six Premier League games.
As mentioned, last time out they were on the wrong end of a defeat against West Ham, and were the Saints facing most other opponents on Saturday, they might head into the game short on confidence. In Newcastle, however, they come up against a team that have failed to win any of their previous five league games, while shipping seven goals in that time.
With the St Mary’s faithful behind them this weekend and 15-goal Danny Ings keen to add to his tally, Southampton should run out as comfortable winners.
Swansea vs West Brom
Our final game of the treble sees Championship leaders West Brom face a trip to Swansea on Saturday. After last week’s 1-0 defeat to struggling Wigan, Slaven Bilic’s side will be determined to bounce back here, all the more so with Leeds breathing down their necks with just one point separating the two sides at the top.
In Swansea, West Brom face a midtable side that have struggled for consistency but do still harbour promotion hopes, with the Welsh club just four points off the play-off spots. Just one win in eight games, though, means they are likely to face an uphill task against the Baggies, who will prove too strong as they return to winning ways.
