Liverpool are reportedly closing in on Eintracht Frankfurt striker Hugo Ekitike despite speculation regarding the Reds and a bid for Newcastle United striker Alexander Isak.
According to the latest football betting odds at William Hill, the defending Premier League champions are 1/3 (from 5/6) to sign the striker before the end of the transfer window.

Newcastle were clear favourites to land the Frenchman this summer but things haven’t gone to plan for the Magpies. Reports suggested that Frankfurt rejected their £70 million bid and that has opened the door for Liverpool.
Arne Slot’s men now top the betting, with media speculation claiming the Reds will place an official bid in the near future. With Liverpool looking to bolster their squad ahead of 2025/26, he could be a huge hit at Anfield.
From a Newcastle perspective, this could mean that Isak – linked with a move to Anfield in the past few days – stays at St James’s Park. He is one of the top strikers in the Premier League and would be very difficult to replace.
