Rodrygo Next Club Odds & Predictions (2025)

With the 2025 summer transfer window now officially over, Rodrygo has confirmed that he remains a Real Madrid player.
Linked with a move to Manchester City over the past few months, the Brazilian will stay at the Santiago Bernabeu for the foreseeable future.

Rodrygo could be the odd man out in the Real Madrid frontline under Xabi Alonso.
The latest sports betting markets indicate the Brazilian might be on the move before the end of the window with Manchester City priced as odds-on favourites.
Kylian Mbappé, Brahim Diaz, and Vinicius Jr. were named in Real Madrid’s front three for their friendly against Tirol earlier this week. Rodrygo came off the bench before Mbappé called him his ‘cousin’ in a much-analysed post-match Instagram post.
Fans have been campaigning for Rodrygo to stay at the club, but Real Madrid’s rumoured asking price of £87 million is well within City’s reach.
Jack Grealish and James McAtee have already departed this summer. Savinho is attracting interest from Tottenham. There is room for Rodrygo in Pep Guardiola’s forward line, even if it requires moving on from another first-team player to meet homegrown regulations.

City Keen
On Tuesday, Fabrizio Romano reported on City’s interest in Rodrygo.
“Pep Guardiola, big fan of the Brazilian and pushing for this option. Manchester City are seriously considering Rodrygo in case of Savinho exit as revealed and Pep would love to work with him.”
Phil Foden and Erling Haaland liking a caption-less Instagram post from Rodrygo has led to leaped conclusions. It might be nothing, or it might a sign of the City squad being aware they are close to landing another megastar.
Rodrygo only had 11 league goal involvements last season, however, and his 0.37 non-penalty expected goals and assists per 90 minutes was considerably lower than Savinho’s mark of 0.55.
The latter is much more creator than goal threat, so it wouldn’t be a like-for-like swap in the City squad.
Potential Suitors
Liverpool are focusing their efforts on Alexander Isak. Rodrygo isn’t needed after the Premier League champions brought in Florian Wirtz and Hugo Ekitike, but they could pivot to Rodrygo if they can’t force a move through for Isak.
Arsenal, who have the second-shortest odds to win the title in the latest Premier League betting markets, should be longer than 9/1.
The Gunners are reportedly looking to sell before they buy, having already spent £200 million this summer. Noni Madueke and Viktor Gyökeres have been added to Mikel Arteta’s attacking options.
Newcastle are a candidate to take a big swing on Rodrygo if they end up letting Isak go. The Magpies have already struck out on several potential strikers, so they could look to Rodrygo as their marquee addition and bring in a stopgap as their number nine.
They haven’t been rash in the transfer window to date, but that could change with the emotions involved in the Isak saga.
Chelsea are the other team to look at. The Blues are well-stocked in forward areas, but when has that stopped them buying more attackers in the Todd Boehly era? Plucking a young, world-renowned winger from Real Madrid might be too tempting for Boehly and the Blues hierarchy to turn down.
