CHELSEA CAPTURE KEPA
The big news of the past 24 hours has all centered around Chelsea. Earlier that day, Real Madrid agreed a deal that would see Thibaut Courtois join Los Blancos and Croatian midfielder Mateo Kovacic head the other way on season-long loan. Kepa has made only 53 La Liga appearances but his excellent performances earned him a call-up to Spain\'s 2018 World Cup squad.

A FLURRY OF LATE DEALS
Yesterday wasn\'t the transfer deadline day people had hoped for but a scurry of late deals managed the lighten up the mood - especially if you were an Everton or Fulham fan. Leicester too managed to drag the signing of highly-rated Freigburg and Turkey defender Caglar Soyuncu over the line after sealing a deal for Filip Benkovic earlier that day. Fulham meanwhile announced five players after the deadline: Marseille midfielder Andre-Frank Anguissa in a £22.3m deal, Bristol City left-back Joe Bryan for £6m and Sergio Rico, Luciano Vietto and Timothy Fosu-Mensah on loan. Those signings made them the first ever promoted team to spend over £100m in the summer. As we reported yesterday, Everton sealed the signatures of their 2nd and third Barcelona players this summer - Yerry Mina and Andres Gomes. What a window it\'s been for some of the teams outside the top six!
