Transfer window odds round-up: Griezmann back to Barca?

| BY News Team

With the European Championship over and Europe’s domestic leagues beginning in just under a month, clubs from across the continent will be trying their hardest to improve their squads ahead of the 2021/22 season.

We take a look at some of the biggest names linked with moves this summer.

Griezmann back to his roots

When Antoine Griezmann left Atletico Madrid to sign for Barcelona, it seemed as though no one would be able to catch the Spanish giants but in the last few years, problems within the club have seen them lose key players and this could happen once again with the French forward.

Griezmann has been linked to numerous clubs but the stand-out club is his old side Atletico Madrid who are reportedly keen on finalising a loan deal ahead of the new season. Atletico are priced at 8/11 to complete the deal.

Chelsea are second favourites to sign Griezmann at 4/1 and once again, a loan deal is the reported move if it were to happen, but a move to the Premier League looks unlikely.

Chelsea to bag the big one?

Erling Haaland is debatably Europe’s biggest upcoming superstar that every club wants this summer, but which major outfit will get ahead of the rest and pick up the Norwegian attacker?

In recent weeks, Chelsea looked to be the club to have made the biggest move to try and sign the Borussia Dortmund striker with the two sides reportedly locked in negotiations. Roman Abramovich is desperate to sign a top tier striker to add to Thomas Tuchel’s Champions League winning squad and they are 11/8 favourites to do so.

Manchester City follow as second favourites at 9/4 whilst Real Madrid follow at 10/3 and Manchester United at 10/1.

Mbappe meet Madrid

Every summer, Kylian Mbappe’s name crops up in the transfer market, but Paris Saint-Germain continue to stand firm and not let one of their most prized assets move away from the French capital.

Although the French giants continue to stand firm, Real Madrid seem to be one of the few clubs who believe they could get the talented attacker. Los Blanco’s are currently EVS to sign the superstar and they are desperate to try and get back to the top of European football. If they get their main man, they are one step closer to doing so.

Liverpool are the closest competition to Real Madrid at 4/1 and then there is a large margin with Manchester City following Liverpool at 25/1.

Bale back home

After returning to Real Madrid this summer, Gareth Bale’s future is uncertain as we head into the 2021/22 season but where could the Welshman end up?

Championship side Cardiff City are shock favourites at 11/8 to sign the Real Madrid superstar this summer but they will have to fend off interest from across the Atlantic with David Beckham’s Inter Miami keeping close tabs on Bale’s availability also. Inter Miami are 10/1 if he doesn’t fancy returning to his homeland just yet.
