Transfer window round-up: Who’s on the move?

| BY News Team

August is the time when the rumours of incomings and outgoings are on the back of every newspaper up and down the country.

With fans constantly checking to see who their clubs are linked with, here is a handful of the latest rumours to surface.

Lautaro Martinez

Over the last couple of seasons, Lautaro Martinez has been one of the names on everybody’s lips. The Argentine has attracted interest from Europe’s elite, and he could be swayed to leave Inter Milan.

Barcelona are the current favourites at 9/4 to sign the promising striker and after going through a transition period in the last few weeks, they will be looking to kick off the new era under Ronald Koeman by signing a major player.

Manchester City are reportedly keen to rival the Spanish giants for Martinez and sit as the 9/2 second favourites to recruit him. Pep Guardiola had his Premier League title ripped away by Liverpool last season so he will be very keen to add to his attacking force with this signing.

Michy Batshuayi

It has been four years since Michy Batshuayi left Marseille for Chelsea and after three loan spells and hardly any game time for the Blues of late, the Belgian striker looks to be heading to another club.

The current market leaders are Premier League returners Leeds United at 5/2. Leeds managed to finally secure promotion back to the top flight this year, but one of their major priorities this summer is to bring in a striker that will be able to take the Premier League by storm.

Italian side Atalanta are also keeping a close eye on Batshuayi and are currently priced at 11/4 to secure a deal. Atalanta had a blistering Serie A and Champions League campaign, finishing the season as Italy’s top scoring side, and they could be a rather good option if Batshuayi wants to get back to scoring ways.

Declan Rice

Declan Rice played a crucial part in keeping West Ham in the Premier League last season, but it has not come as a surprise that he is keeping his options open in terms of a transfer away from the club.

Chelsea are leading the pack in pursuit of Rice by a hefty margin as they currently sit as the 8/13 odds-on favourites. Rice is a well-known Chelsea fan and could well be keen on returning to his former club.

David Brooks

When David Brooks burst onto the scene, even Bournemouth fans would not have expected the rise to where he is now. Although he has had an injury fuelled season, the Wales international is attracting attention from plenty of clubs.

Leicester City are the current favourites at 7/4 and Brendan Rodgers will be keen to wrap up a deal for the player given that Bournemouth have been relegated to the Championship. Liverpool are second favourites at 3/1 but reports this week seem to suggest that Manchester United are in the driving seat for Brooks.

United are priced at 9/2 and the club are said to be a big fan of the Bournemouth man. Could we see Brooks at Old Trafford soon?
