The summer transfer window is a very exciting time for football fans up and down the country. Rumours of incomings and outgoings are rife at this point of the season and fans are often ferociously checking to see who their club has been linked with.
Here’s our latest look at the odds available for some of this summer’s biggest transfer rumours.
Grealish on his way out of Villa Park?
Jack Grealish has been linked away from Aston Villa for the last couple of seasons and this window is no different. The Villa faithful have relished his time at the club but it’s now becoming frighteningly apparent that he’s a step up from the rest of the team. Many have had their doubts about Grealish’s attitude, but he could be a key asset at any top team.
The current market leaders are Arsenal, priced at 11/4. The Gunners have yet to find a key man to fill Mesut Ozil’s spot and it’s a position they are desperately looking to fill. Grealish is an extremely versatile player, being able to fill the central attacking midfield role but also being able to operate out wide and is the sort of player who could fire the Gunners back into the Champions League places.
Manchester United have also been strongly linked with Grealish in the past too, and are second in the market at 10/3. However, having recently signed Bruno Fernandes in January, as well as being strongly linked with Jadon Sancho, the chances of Grealish heading to Old Trafford look slimmer than they did a couple of months ago.
Another big money move for Neymar?
There aren’t many transfer windows that go past without Neymar rumours and the Brazilian is once again being linked with a big-money move.
He moved to PSG from Barcelona in 2017 for a record £200m and since then has been linked with multiple moves back to the Nou Camp. Once again there has been plenty of rumours circulating about where Neymar will be playing football next season and it’s no surprise to see the Catalan outfit at the top of the market at 7/2.
Such rumours have been heightened with the news that Barca’s star man Lionel Messi could potentially want to leave as well as the fact that Antoine Griezmann has struggled to make an impact.
A Partey at the Emirates?
Atletico Madrid’s midfield maestro Thomas Partey has been the source of much debate for a while now with a host of Europe’s top clubs linked with the Ghanaian.
The strongest link has been with Arsenal who have lacked a solid midfield for a while and are in need of reinforcements in that area. Partey would fit the bill and given they are just 4/7 to sign him during this transfer window, a move might not be far away.
Plenty in for Jimenez
Raul Jimenez has impressed many with his performances since joining Wolves and it looks as if many of Europe’s heavy hitters are after the Mexican this summer.
A central striker is apparently on the Old Trafford wish list and it’s unsurprising, then, that Manchester United lead the market for Jimenez at 2/1. They are closely followed by Chelsea at 7/1, but it would be hard to imagine a move to the Blues given they’ve already bought Timo Werner.
Jimenez could also make a shock move to Spanish giants Real Madrid, with the La Liga champions hunting for back-up for Karim Benzema. They are currently 8/1 to sign Jimenez and linking up with the likes of Eden Hazard and Luka Modric would surely be an attractive proposition for him.
