Trent Alexander-Arnold Next Club Odds

| BY News Team

With the January transfer window open, the rumour mill is up and running about the world’s best talents.

Trent Alexander-Arnold’s Real Madrid future is one subject to gossip, and after a subpar start to life at the Bernabeu, he could be a man on the move this window.

Let’s look at the odds on clubs Trent could switch to this January.

Manchester United – 4/1

Topping the market to secure Trent’s signature is Manchester United at 4/1.

United have often lacked consistent quality in ball progression from deep areas, and Trent’s passing range, vision, and set-piece delivery would immediately elevate their attacking threat.

Despite the fact that the club are in a transition phase following the sacking of Ruben Amorim, Alexander-Arnold is the type of player that United could build around with his abilities from full back.

His ability to invert into midfield would be a massive asset, helping United control games rather than relying on transitions alone. Trent also brings proven experience at the highest level, having won major domestic and European trophies, which would add a winning mentality to a squad still searching for consistency.

His departure didn’t go down too well with the Anfield faithful and a move to their arch rivals might not help his cause with the locals.

Newcastle – 4/1

Sharing favouritism with Manchester United is Newcastle, who are also 4/1.

They would benefit from signing Trent Alexander-Arnold because he would add elite creativity and technical quality to an already well-organised side. Eddie Howe’s system relies heavily on full-backs contributing in attack, and Trent’s crossing, passing range, and set-piece ability would give Newcastle a new dimension going forward.

After a far from perfect start to the season, the club may look to strengthen the squad in the January window, and this type of move would be a statement signing for the club.

Surrounded by hardworking midfielders like Bruno Guimaraes and Joelinton, Trent’s defensive weaknesses could be covered, allowing him to focus on his strengths. His experience at the top level would also be invaluable as Newcastle aim to establish themselves consistently in European competition.

Liverpool – 15/2

Following his controversial move out of Anfield following the expiration of his contract, Liverpool are in the market at 15/2.

It’s clear how much the Reds have missed a player of Trent’s calibre at full back and if there was a potential for a deal to be explored, it may be something that Liverpool would look into.

It may be a case of it being too soon for a return to the club, after how things ended at the club but it could transpire to be a beneficial move for both sides.

Bayern Munich at 12/1 represent a credible European alternative, where he could link up with England teammate Harry Kane. Arsenal (16/1) and Tottenham (18/1) look unlikely suitors, whilst Aston Villa (20/1) and Chelsea (22/1) also seem out of the running currently.

The Saudi Pro League at 25/1 could be an intriguing option for Trent if they make him a large contract offer, thought it does seem unlikely he would make this kind of move at the current stage of his career.
