William Hill News’ Bet For The Premier League Winner
William Hill News tipster @Footy_Tipster delivers his in‑depth preview of the 2026/27 Premier League winner, breaking down the title race, analysing the main contenders and highlighting where the value lies in the outright market.
Our Prediction – Premier League Winners – Arsenal (5/4)
Arsenal finally ended their twenty‑two‑year wait for a Premier League title last season, with Mikel Arteta guiding the Gunners to their fourteenth top‑flight crown. They finished on 85 points — seven clear of their nearest challengers — and looked every inch a side built for a sustained title push.
Arteta will be hoping his team pick up exactly where they left off domestically, and the early signs are promising. Arsenal cruised to a 3–0 victory over Manchester City in the 2026 Community Shield, underlining their momentum. Crucially, they’ve kept hold of their key players while strengthening smartly, most notably with the arrival of Bruno Guimarães.
This Premier League campaign promises to be fiercely competitive, but Arsenal look the most complete and well‑organised squad in the division. Having finally crossed the line last season, there should be no doubts within the camp about their ability to retain the trophy.
The Biggest Threats to Arsenal’s Crown
William Hill have Manchester City as second favourites at 10/3, but it’s been a summer of major change for the Cityzens. Pep Guardiola’s departure marks the end of an era, while key figures such as Bernardo Silva and Rodri have also moved on. The hierarchy have turned to Enzo Maresca to continue Guardiola’s legacy — a huge task for any manager — but City’s quality means they should remain a threat in the title race.
Liverpool endured a difficult campaign last season, leading to Arne Slot’s departure and the appointment of former Bournemouth boss Andoni Iraola. It’s been a relatively quiet summer in terms of transfers, and the loss of Mo Salah could prove significant, especially if they are unable to adequately replace him. The Reds are 11/2 with William Hill to win the Premier League.
Manchester United follow next in the betting at 7/1. The Red Devils made huge strides under Michael Carrick last season, finishing third and securing a return to the Champions League — a major step forward for the club. The big question, however, is how they will cope with the demands of European football after playing just 40 competitive matches last season, their shortest campaign since 1914–15. The future looks bright, but this season may come slightly too soon for a genuine title challenge.
Chelsea are one of the most intriguing sides heading into the new campaign. Xabi Alonso has arrived at Stamford Bridge, and the Blues have strengthened with the likes of Morgan Rogers and Maxence Lacroix. With no European football to contend with, Alonso’s side can fully focus on the Premier League — and at 8/1 with William Hill, they could attract interest from punters looking for a value option.
