William Hill Pay Out On Liverpool Winning The Premier League

Bookmakers, William Hill, have today (17/03/20) paid out on Liverpool winning the Premier League with £645,661 being handed over to punters who backed them at the start and throughout the 2019/20 season.

Liverpool started the season as the 5/2 second-favourites behind Manchester City who were 8/13 however, it became apparent by October that Liverpool was going to take the league by storm – becoming 8/11 favourites on the 6th of the month after defeating Leicester on the 5th and as a result of Manchester City defeat at home to Wolves a day later.

“It will come as small comfort to Liverpool fans who are desperate to see their team lift the title for the first time in 30 years, however, in our eyes, they are the champions and as such we are happy to pay out on them being the 2019/20 Premier League winners,” said William Hill spokesman Joe Crilly. “We are paying out just shy of ¾ of £1m to everyone who has backed them.”
