William Hill Premiership
Celtic odds-on for William Hill Scottish Premiership title
Celtic are odds-on to win the Scottish Premiership, according to league sponsors William Hill.
The leading bookmaker make Martin O’Neil’s men 5/6 to retain their crown ahead of the opening weekend of fixtures.
Celtic claimed the 2025/26 title late on in the season, beating Hearts on the final day to clinch the title by a mere two points from the aforementioned Edinburgh side. Rangers’ charge didn’t last into the final weeks of the season, as they finished nine points off the top.
Despite finishing third last season, Rangers are second in the outright betting at 13/10, while last season’s surprise package, Hearts, are 13/2. The Gers have signed Hearts star Lawrence Shankland this summer and made some other exciting signings which see them head into this season hopeful of dethroning Celtic.

Spokesperson for William Hill, Lee Phelps, said: “We’re really proud to be the title sponsor of the SPFL again this season and it’s probably not a surprise that Celtic are favourites to win the Premiership.
“The Hoops our 5/6 with us to make it six consecutive titles after a hard-fought victory last season.
“They just saw off Hearts and Rangers in a thrilling victory to the last campaign and those two are the likeliest challengers again this time around.
“Rangers may have been behind Hearts last season, but they have made some shrewd signings, including Hearts’ former talisman Lawrence Shankland, so we have them at 13/10 for the title with Hearts third in the betting at 13/2.”
